Palka clearly is on his last legs as a player. He needs to figure things up quickly or in the immortal words of the Hawk...…"HE GONE". If I never see him at first base again, it will be too soon. He's a perfect example of the weak-minded thinking that you can pay anyone at first base.

I mean cmon man, your baseball eye said this dude was elite, not just a potential good hitter but elite and when I think about elite I'm hearing top 5% of hitters. Maybe we have a different idea of elite but man isnt top 5% a fair cop to what elite is?

There were a lot of indicators that suggested he was an elite power hitter. I can't tell you why he suddenly can't make any contact at all at the big league level.
