The comic book/star wars nerd content will be great, but Disney+ will be even better for families with young children.

I'm not betting against Netflix just yet.

HBO and other Premium channels, and Hulu will be the first to feel this.

Netflix has too much highly rated original content to get beat up. There are plenty of folks that aren't weirdly into Marvel / Star Wars and don't have kids...Disney+ isn't appealing to them. Not in the beginning....not until they develop a lot more.

Agreed. I don't care at all about Marvel or Star Wars so I'm not even gonna consider Disney+, cant even think of one thing I'd currently watch on there. I know I'm in the minority on that though.

You were going to wilingly watch WNBA basketball. Marvel and Star Wars aside, you can't find one thing offered by Disney+ that is more interesting to you than the WNBA?

Disney is no different than any other company that's workforce employs primarily unskilled labor. Pay the least amount possible and give them the bare minimum. They're willing and hope for turnover with people wanting to be part of Disney. People take a job....accept the pay for that job. Housing, meals, and everything else is on the employee. I wouldn't say that's "taking care of their employees", but I don't think their motto is or has ever been "invest in and retain our talented work force." It's a people mill.

I worked for Six Flags as a college student for 4 summers. They're not Disney...not even close, but they attempt to model almost everything after Disney. It was a shit job but I did it because it was guaranteed full time work each summer. When I graduated from college and did not to rely on seasonal work, I was thrilled to never have to work or be at that place again. There were good social aspects of working there, as you work with a large group of people in a similar age group and it was a good example of having to provide good customer service under less than ideal circumstances, but it ends there.

Abigail is delusional if she thinks Disney ever really gave two shits about their workforce.

Probably not but I'm open to suggestions.

For the record, I said I was willing to check out a few games. I doubt I would've become a big fan

Hopefully Disney+ will have some good original programming, but if it’s anything like their movie properties it’ll just be rehashed cash cows focus grouped into nothingness.

You're younger than I am and thought you might be into shows from your youth like Boy Meets World, DuckTales, Malcolm in the Middle, or at least earlier seasons of The Simpsons. There is also the possibility of an uncomfortable, inebriated boner during an episode of Kim Possible.

Disney + at 6.99 a month is going to have a billion subscribers. Some will drop when/if price goes up but it'll still be huge.
