Whoever was responsible for signing Robert should be moved up.

I'm thinking the guy that drafted Jake Burger needs to be fired.

Jake Burger as well, right? And Zach Collins?

That's Marco Paddy, the team's international scouting director. He also apparently played a major role in evaluating Moncada prior to the Sale trade.

Yep. And he certainly is a great example of failing up.

He has been quite since like February. I am assuming the Sox tightened up what they could say.

I guess that someone in charge of their scouting organization should have taken some serious heat for the lack of what I would call a balance of talent in the organization. Way too many first base types with talent. Other than Roberts, a lack of 4-5 tool outfielders in the entire system. An over-abundance of decent to good infield prospects. Very little in terms of two way catchers throughout (other than Mercedes in 3A). And, in my estimation, a very weak starting pitching assembly.

The Sox farm system has been I think bailed out from huge criticism by the success and to be success with Anderson, Moncada, Jimenez and potentially Roberts, Sheets, Madrigal, Mercedes, and that first baseman they just drafted whose name escapes me at the moment. THe real alarm though is pitching, especially starting pitching. THe Sox pitching really SUCKS and you can't argue otherwise. IT used to be a hallmark of the Sox to find decent to good starting pitchers. Not anymore and it is likely to cost them big time in their over-all plan(s) to REBUILD to a play off team contender level. Whoever they bring in to head the scouting department better have a good eye for pitching talent and how to develop it. Way too many bad arms and surgeries for example. Something is wrong with what they are telling these guys.

Kopech and Rodon are prime examples of what not to do with talented starting pitchers.
