OK Mike, Teddy doesn't like you thats why he writes bad things. Feder just doesn't understand the business, Ted Cox says you are closer to the door and basically nobody here, who are the core listeners of your radio station, wants you to return, still you claim things are good and people like you?

You claim you have other offers. Zimmerman has made you an offer. You obviously don't like the offer and want something more. Doesn't sound like they want to give you more.

We all know you are a lucky guy. I will give you credit that your own hard work has brought you to where you are, but the ride is over. The cache of the regular guy who can't speak well is done. The hype caught up to you.

Just as being stubborn and pushing your will upon the wimps that run radio stations has got you to where you are, it will now bring you down when you don't re-sign with WSCR. The station will be fine, you won't. You will fade away and the proof will be ont he table that WSCR's listeners brought you to the top, not Mike North fans.

Good luck in your new gig back at WSBC with your buddy Harvey Wells. Maybe you can get Annie Maxfield back, that worked out really well.

I wonder if North and the Score already have a deal, and they're all trying to build up some faux drama, to get people (outside of this board) talking about the show?

It's all posturing - North will be back with an incentive laden contract.

You know this is killing him. He cant stand the bad pub no matter what he says. Article after article has repeatedly shown how much he gets paid and how bad his ratings are. These articles are being read across the nation and now EVERYONE will know the truth about how bad he is. He is the laughing stock of Chicago radio no matter how much he's gotten paid. He's the John Koncak of Sports Radio. No more hand shakes. No more celebrity treatment. No more publicity. Mike North will soon be done and the airwaves will be a better/quieter place.

deep down we all know that the score will be stupid enough to re-sign north and even though he will get less money, north will brag it up like there's no tommorrow.

Yes, he will be back, even if he goes off the air for awhile he should be back, unless of course he burns some bridges while going off the air

If Mike resigns, that wouldnt be a surprise to me, if he is kept on mornings, no partner and still has 100% control of the show, that will be surprising.

Yeah, he said that he doesn't consider Rod Zimmerman a good guy because he can't trust him and doesn't like him. Isn't Zimmerman the guy with whom North is negotiating?

I am certain North will widen his bitter end to others as the time gets closer. Other hosts, people on his staff, past and present. Its his logic, its not his fault in his mind, so it has to be others. I said it before, come July 1st, the reall Mike North will come out and it wont be pretty.

Well, isn't that part and parcel to the stations' negotiating stance? Don't do anything to the very end. It allows them to try to underpay, plus if North can't stand the pressure and does something on-air, they got him beholden to them for keeping him.

Its entertaining to us, but its ultimately destructive to the hosts, to the station, and its pissing on the listeners. The difference between a first and second rate station isn't the frequency, isn't the range. It's the quality & the attitude.

The station is waiting for a counter offer from a competitor that we all know will not be forthcoming.

Now how they will repair the damaged ego to go along with a much smaller check will be another story.
