I dont get it.

They just got a guy who is another Montgomery.

ERA in the 5's, and has had an up and down career.

Why get rid of a guy that won u a World Series, can swing start, etc., and then acquire a guy who is the same type of pitcher 1 week later?

The Cubs needed a guy in the bullpen that is good against left-handed batters. Holland is. Montgomery is not. Montgomery is a reverse-split guy. And not good at either, at least this year.

I don't think it is fair to call Montgomery a malcontent. He did everything that was asked of him while a Cub. Sure he wanted to be a starting pitcher. There is nothing wrong with that. But it is not like he caused problems over it or refused to pitch when asked.

Monty pitchin' beautifully now.

A 2.10 ERA in his last 5 starts. For a terrible team. Gave up only 1 ER tonight.

Meanwhile, dumbshit Holland is still on the DL with a fake injury. Another trade that happened in the dead of night so that noone would really notice or care. Yet we traded our World Series savior for a useless piece o' garbage. Fuck you Theo Epstein for tearing apart the fabric of our team.
