What the hell were the Phillies arguing about? That was a great pitch to end the game.

This game is goddamn crazy.

Abreu was just thrown out by a pitcher playing LF. After McCann got a hit off a position player pitching.

And now Fulmer nearly hit a triple.

What a wacky game.....Fell asleep just before the ninth.....looks like I missed the weirdness.

At least a 1/3 of this roster is a waste of a roster spot. Probably higher.

Leury hit it 431. Manfred said maybe the pill is off center.

This wasn't a banner series by any means, but that lineup is just so much better with Timmay and Eloy in it every day. The starting pitching has been better over the last week or so as well.

I, too, don't really care about W-L. I do want to see them play well.

Funny how we all kinda go into tank mode at the same time, and visit the standings, and count the teams worse than us.

Ah, only 6 teams worse. 7's a pretty nice pick. 5 would be better.

On the other hand, its pretty pathetic that not even a month ago this team was .500 and within a game or two of a Wild Card spot. Not that I ever expected them to be playing October baseball, but I did start to think, "Hey this is maybe a 78-80 win team ready to turn the corner for next year." Two steps forward, three steps back.

Same story with this team since 2013. When they go bad, they go really, really bad for quite a while.

I believe that Leury has solidified himself a spot on the Sox going forward as an excellent utility guy. Meanwhile Davis and Mercedes continue to do well in 3A as does Mendrik. Madrigal is stumbling a bit but hasn't yet had a lot of at bats. Sheets is continuing to hit dingers at Birmingham.

Sure. So do I. Too bad Moncada got hurt.

The thing is that they are so thin and unable to put anyone in the everyday line-up that can come close to replacing the guys who were lost. When you have to put in Engel for example it is just giving the other team 3-4 automatic outs. Than on top of all other things, Abreu goes into a terrible slump and McCann gets beat up behind the plate.

Hope is around the corner, though, with 3-4 legit guys that should be ready next season. It still looks like someone has got to put a mind altering drug in the Chairman's oatmeal, though, and get him to spend some money on starting pitching.

Mercedes is a butcher behind home plate. 15 passed balls. He's 26 so he won't be getting any better. You didn't like Narvaez so what's up with the love for this guy?
