Great game. Sweep tomorrow. They're about to go on a nice run. Castellanos was a great move.

Nonsense.. He'll miss 3 weeks, Caratini is probably the best backup in the NL.

WTF.. You morphed into Schmidtty.. Kimbrel is still getting loose, no spring training. He puts guys on but he's closing games out.

Overall good game on D and the mound. I was a bit scared when Cole got yanked early but the pen got it done. Wick is a real ass pitcher. He is not getting guys out with smoke and mirrors he has good stuff and is going right after guys. Bryant was still terrible at the plate and Rizzo was not much better. Sucks that Willy got hurt and will be out at least a month. Thankfully Lucroy was designated a few days ago and could fit right in vs calling up longhair again. Hundley is available as well but I think Luc would be nice as he is familiar with the division still and an excellent catcher and game caller.

Just listened to a bit of the radio broadcast and ZZ is in full kiss ass mode. Pat made a couple jokes and you can hear Z in the background laughing extra hard and extra loud to make sure Pat hears him. I wish they'd stick his red-ass out in the bleachers to get fully cooked on a sunny day like this.

Am I crazy or are they playing Shinsuke Nakamura's music at the park going into the top of the 6th?

5 starts in a row for our china doll is a big improvement. I'll take it.

chugged through 93 pitches in 5 innings, still will never be the guy that gives you 7-8 innings.

Relies too much on strikeouts to go deep. Threw 30 plus pitches in his last inning giving up no runs or walks in the inning.

That’s not today’s game.

Bauer, Verlander and cole lead the game with 6.5 innings per start

Yu arverages 5.5, Arrietta 5.6

Hendrix, Lester, Hamels all average about 5.8 but each have at least 2 fewer starts

Darvish is fine. And if he keeps this up, he’s more than fine

Yeah as surprising as it sounds Darvish is not at the top of things to be worried about right now for the Cubs.

Like Pat and Ron, but they need to tone down the non-stop stand-up comedy act. Or, at least kill ZZ's mic.

He gave up one run ... if they can't muster up two runs for him that's got nothing to do with Darvish.

What does a person think if they're told this in March:

Early August 2019 - Things To Not Be Worried About
- Jason Heyward
- Yu Darvish

Pretty amazing stuff from Heyward. This is finally the guy they thought they were signing. It is unbelieveable how it has taken 3 years to get here.

Headline on MLB.com:

Cubs sweep Brewers behind Darvish, Heyward

Never would have thought in a million years I'd see that

Yeah it is pretty amazing. I am just glad Heyward is still hitting after being put in the leadoff spot. I figured that was the start of a slump for him.
