Oh, it's gonna be one of those 15+ run affairs tonight then.

Hardly worth it, but you don't witness Votto getting caught looking very often I would think.

Castellanos with 2 jacks, Lucroy with 2 hits . Maybe there’s hope for this team yet .

He definitely comes off as happy and excited. Played almost six years in a pitcher friendly park and hadn't seen the post season since 2014. Now he gets to hit at Wrigley and in a playoff race.

It seems like too silly of a game to use the .gif, imo.

With a seven run lead in the ninth, do you want your top left handed reliever pitching possibly 2 1/3 innings? Couldn't they stick Strop or Phelps to finish off the game?

It was a no brainer, hes a great hitter. Hes what we hoped Schwarber would become.

Huge lead, why yank underwood? The pen is overworked and this clown brings on Ryan.

Heyward gone ice cold, dipshit Joe couldn't leave well enough alone..stop sticking him in the one hole after he starts raking .

Put Castellanos in the leadoff.

With Hammels history against the Reds, I thought the Cubs would win game 1 of this series. but it sure did go differently than I had anticipated. Nice to see Castellanos continue to hit. The roll he has been on is obviously not sustainable, but he seems to have inspired his teammates and the hitting has become contagious as it often does. Not worried about Heyward as he runs like water this year.....hot and cold. He had a great hot streak in April and early May, then was cold for 6 weeks. He was real good for 3-4 weeks, now maybe cooling off. But with so many hitting right now, it's not crucial that everyone be hot. Hammels was a shock. That was awful. That 3rd inning he threw 46 pitches. I hope the next time out against Pittsburgh is back to normal and we don't find out there is another physical issue with him. Tonight's game is really going to be key. If Darvish can dominate their offense and the Cubs can manufacture enough offense against Bauer to get a win, maybe this road trip will be remembered as the one where they took control of the division in 2019.
