I think I told this story here before: We went to a landmarked stop on the underground railroad while we were in Memphis. We were given a tour by a young, probably just past college age woman who was a bit on the militant side. It was great because she spoke with knowledge and passion. We were the only ones on the tour so we were able to have some interaction. We were discussing Harriet Tubman. My wife asked if Harriet Tubman had been exaggerated into a mythical character. That almost brought the house down. She didn't quite articulate the question she wanted to ask (which was perfectly innocent and valid) and it sounded almost offensive. We scooted out of there quickly.

Jamie Foxx told a funny story about touring plantations with his daughter when making Django on “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”. All his daughter cared about was the Instagram selfies. Couldn’t care less about the selfies.

Found the same thing when i visited Dachau in Germany.

Are there people at Dachau taking selfies? I'd be surprised if cameras were even allowed in there.
