14 ks for Q through 6 and probably will get a no-decision.

The Rockies have a better road record and have 11 less wins than the Cubs.

Nick C always rakes late in the season. Tigers have been trying to deal Castellanos since they entered rebuilding a few seasons back. Slow-footed, questionable (at best) glove, power-hitting corner OF (converted from 3B) = not a good fit for a pitcher's park like Comerica.

Give Castellanos credit for laying off the long ball while a Tiger and adapting his hitting-style to Comerica's capacious confines. Despite his oft professed hate for playing in Comerica, Nick's Home/Road splits while a Tiger typically favored Home--until this season, for some reason. Maybe auditioning for his next team. Nick glove's pretty bad / atrocious, but how much does OF defense matter when end of the rotation guys like Quintana are striking out 14 in 6 innings.

First Cub to ever do that...not even the mighty Kerry Wood did it (he had 12 through 6 in his 20k game).

Maddon said that was probably the best he's seen Quintana pitch and he still didn't get a win.

Cmon lads, he went 6 innings. It's not like he went 8 or 9 innings of shutout. You go 6 ip.. You're probably likely to get a ND most of the time.

MLB batters have tallied ~32,000 strikeouts already through 120 games/75% of the season in 2019. That's more K's than the total for most any full 162 game season prior to 2010--when K's per game first breached 7 per game. MLB's now approaching almost 9 K's per game on average. Almost double the average back in the 80's.

The Astros have the best approach.

They gave Cole a hell of a standing ovation and he didn't bother to tip his cap/helmet ... that's kinda sucky imo.

Yeah, he was in an awkward position. He doesn’t seem healthy...velocity was down a few ticks.

Don’t know why Mills is on an MLB roster.

Looks like yet another position-player pitching day.

Cole has to go back and get himself right. The offense though.....it never ceases to amaze me how piss poor it can be. Baez made an easy out on a first pitch piece of shit out of the zone for about the 5th time his trip. His next ab he stared at 4 straight pitches without lifting the bat. What the hell is that's about? Somebody got in his ear and that bullshit was his response. X

Figured with the hitting coach change they would pound the Cubs, fucking pathetic. Bryant the captain of meaningless HRS. Rizzo only 2 homers in the last 2 months is ridiculous. Really scary how bad he has been.

That's an infantile response and he should be benched for the next game.

Watched the game having dinner with a friend after golf. No life in the team. Hammels not covering first? Just seems like one of those weird sports things where a team wins and just can't get it all back together again. Too many moving parts just a little bit less hungry then they used to be. Many reasons. 86-90 Bears.
