The important point to remember is that the Bears could very well regress significantly but still be better than the Packers, Vikings and Lions.

11-5 would be, by definition, regression.

As I said, delusional Packer fans are the best Packer fans.

My statement is accurate based on last year's statistics in key areas.

We'll see. I think everyone knows the Vikings are frauds so it's really gonna come down to if LeFleur knows what the fuck he's doing and/or how much Pagano ruins Fangio's defense that will decide the division.

The division depends on Pettine. Packers couldn't be worse on offense than last year so it'll be better. Biggest question is how great the Packers defense is going to be.

    No.

The division clearly is going to depend on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. The Bears D is really good, so if Mitch is good its goodnite everybody else.

Delusional....the best Jerry! The best!

Za'Darius Smith looks like the best DL/EDGE in the division.

12-4 team could regress seems to be the standard training camp story written by someone who needs to write something.

Too much parity in the NFL to think the Bears are a lock for another 12 win season.

The same defense (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky picked apart when the Packers still had playoff aspirations? I don't think the Packers will matter unless LeFleur is great. It's Bears and Vikings again.

Eh. The Packers at least have a QB, even if he is trending downwards.

The Vikes have a bum slayer pretender under center.

Will the Rodgers arrow still be going down? What type of numbers do you see him putting up?

Predict Trubinsky's numbers for 2019. Have it written down? Now double them. That's what A-A-ron will throw against the punk ass NFL

I agree he will likely throw double the INTs.

So almost 8k yards and 70 touchdowns? That's pretty hard to accomplish for a guy who will throw 200 passes out of bounds to maintain his interception record.

Same numbers he had more or less the last time he was healthy. Seems like a realistic projection.

Aaron won't last 8 games for the season. He's going to be targeted by hungry defenses wanting to hurt him badly. He's not going to be able to escape with his creaky joints anymore. As for this "new defense" that Green Bay will have. They've lost a shitload in personnel in the meantime. We'll see if this MIRACLE can occur but it is doubtful. I trust Mitch and Nagy will shred the Packers quite easily.

That is true. The only lock in the NFL has been the f'ing Patriots with Brady. Injuries are a key to their season. I read the bullshit that those football "experts" put out there about so-called REGRESSION, though, and I say that their arguments for it are based on hunches more than facts. I think, if anything, the defense under Pagano will be better than last year, especially on 3rd and long situations where they will attack more and force more turnovers instead of playing back and allowing all of the underneath stuff.

Also, the now have an experienced qb with receivers he can really work with. And I will say again that they have got to get Cohen the ball more in the open field. THey, to me, are underutilizing this guy.

My two concerns are the kicker whoever that is going to be and the offensive line especially the tackles. They are going to have to find a tight end who can block and game plan the DEs that they are going to face because the tackles are the only weak link to the offense.

Why would I do that? ERRon is going to go down with an injury. He's been treated like rare china by the league referees throughout his career but that too is ending. The MACK ATTACK is coming and he's not ready for it. :!: :!: :!:

He's been healthy far more often than not in his career, he's only 35, the line is going to be improved from last season, and the new offensive system should cut down on improvisation/scrambling around.

And Khalil Mack sucks.

What do you mean by brand-new defense?

Benoit assumes that Pagano has installed an entirely new defensive scheme. Most reports, however, have said that Pagano is keeping Fangio's system--but with a few tweaks.

I guess we'll have to see how this works. It's important to note that Khalil Mack made the defense elite last year. His addition reduced the average amount of time QBs had in the pocket by about one second. That's an amazing improvement over 2017. If Mack plays at his 2018 level this year, the Bears' defense will likely rank among the league's best once again. I do think, though, there's reason to believe he can be even better this year.

I meant GB has a brand new defense.

Chicago will have a good defense. I think it’s close to impossible for them to be as good as they were last year though.

What do you mean healthy? The general consensus seems to be he hasn't played a game healthy in about a decade. We should bet on what quarter of the first game that Rodgers is acting like he has injured something but somehow is still able to play.
