Getting caught up on things...

Captain Marvel was way better than I expected.

I'm into season four of Californication, and slightly frustrated by the main character, but pushing through thanks to the gratuitous female nudity.

To summarize, former X Files lead David Duchovny, in Californication, a solid meh; former X Files lead Gillian Anderson in Sex Education, three thumbs up!

I'm like 41 episodes into House of Cards. Still can't decide if I like this show or not.

First two seasons of both of those shows are great, and then they both just fell off the rails.

duchovny isn't that good of an actor but surprisingly he was pretty entertaining in "aquarius"; i think it was because he was just playing mulder again, which has always been his best role.

That's fucked up. It was hitting its stride. I really enjoyed it.

Finished the latest season of Stranger Things yesterday. Another fantastic season. Was shocked and saddened by the ending. Didn't see that coming.

Really interested to see what they do for season 4 now that the kids are spread out.

This company may be dying a slow death.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/stephenmcb ... -crash-70/

I'd really like to see how they try to survive. They got fat off of other people's TV shows, but now that those parent companies want their TV shows back so they can make money off their own products, what does Netflix have left? Obviously a major strategy, and maybe the only strategy (?), is investing into creating your own content, which they've done over the past few years. I'd argue they have more misses than hits. But is the end goal just to compete against other companies with a longer and better track record of content creation? Do they acquire smaller but good indie production companies to add to their own unique content? Not sure. Interesting to see this play out tho.

Quit the show now, you've watched all of the good episodes. It becomes trash midway through season 4.

I would've canceled Netflix already if I were the one paying for it.

If they had cancelled after season 1, it would have felt like a complete show. I needed nothing more from the story.

season 2 was written with an expectation of one and probably several more seasons. I don't know if this was arrogance on the part of the writers or if they were justified in feeling they had more time.

Now there is more story to tell. I wouldn't say they hit their stride in season 2. I thought they hit it in season 1. It became a different story in season 2 and ended with an even different story. I'm disappointed in the cancelling. I wanted to see just how the writers were going to work this whole trippy bounce into the real life actor's body.

I guess they can say that this is a perfect fusing of the story as Britt Marling the character died from the fall. It would be real next level performance art if Britt Marling faked her own death now and lived life under an alias, unknown to fans of the show.

Is he getting another $quadrillion for this? I also heard Eddie Murphy got an offer he couldn't refuse.

Pennyworth is worth pursuing past episode 2. At some point his girlfriend is going to have to bite the bullet...it's only a matter of time. I like Alfie and his buddies.

Really? I thought the newest season was awful. I'm not going to rave and say the first two seasons were some of the best tv around, but they were fun. The 3rd season completely jumped the shark. The neverending story song? What. The. Fuck.

Agree on Season 3. Kind of cheesy. Hopefully, season 4 is better.
