He's been healthy far more often than not in his career, he's only 35, the line is going to be improved from last season, and the new offensive system should cut down on improvisation/scrambling around.

And Khalil Mack sucks.
What do you mean healthy? The general consensus seems to be he hasn't played a game healthy in about a decade. We should bet on what quarter of the first game that Rodgers is acting like he has injured something but somehow is still able to play.

He was fine in 2016. He had issues the past two years. Not sure what you’re talking about with the decade thing.

You think he’s lying about being hurt last year? Are you blind?

He played in all 16 games including those in which his team was already eliminated from playoff contention.

I don't doubt he was less than 100% at times but he seems to spend most of his time when not throwing the ball making sure the camera knows it.

 That's pretty weak but "I don't doubt that he was less than 100%" is pretty hilarious phrasing in context of last year's injury

Once again, he was still playing in meaningless games with a coach he hated and wanted fired.

I don't know what is funny about that. Most NFL players have things that happen that make them less than 100% during the season.

Can’t wait. It’s been fun seeing Bears fans act cocky for the first time in a decade but the summer has gone on long enough. Time for a reality check.

 We're cocky? You are the one with a good, yet aging QB with a new coach and a shotty defense, yet you still think this division is GB's for the taking.

On second thought, maybe that's more stupidity than cockiness.

I haven't been that cocky really. I think GB should be a good team this year, as does Vegas. We'll see how it goes. The idea that everything that happened last year is gonna happen again is just silly, that's not how the NFL works, and yet that's how you seem to view it.

So your prediction of Rodgers throwing for 4300 yards, 50 TDs, and winning MVP isn't cocky?

I don't expect the Bears to just show up and win 12 games this season. In fact, I do expect them to "regress" in terms of their win total. They are without question the best defensive team in the division and should improve on offense. It may not be a repeat of last season, but the Bears should repeat as division champs. Hopefully they play through January and into February this time.

I never predicted 50 TDs. 40 doesn't seem unreasonable.

If you think the Bears should win the division you can get pretty favorable odds on it.

I mis-typed, excuse me. You said 40 TD, 5 INT.

Talk about a needed reality check

He threw 40 and 7 a few years ago. Maybe you're just unfamiliar with his work. You should probably do a little more research if you think he's incapable of 40/5.

Someone needs to get the word to FF that passes thrown out of bounds don't count as touchdowns.

"A few years ago"

That's kinda the point. He is trending downward. Can still be pretty good, likely won't be MVP type, and probably definitely won't throw 40+ TDs this year.

You would be small time compared to Dennis money.

I can see the future. Twice over the next year and a half, you end up in a puddle of tears.

First, in December when the Packers are eliminated (again) from playoff contentions. Second, in October when Yoan Moncada hoists the World Series MVP trophy 8)

Doesn't look good for the Pack:

Quote:
It might be too soon to say the Packers have a serious problem with their run game -- after all, neither Aaron Jones nor Jamaal Williams (both have hamstring issues) have played a snap in the preseason -- but the installation of new coach Matt LaFleur's outside-zone-oriented scheme has been a rough go.

The Packers totaled just 7 yards rushing on seven attempts in the first half a week after they had only 38 yards in 13 carries in the first half against the Texans. That's 45 yards in 20 carries when the opponents were playing starters or key backups. Any hope that sixth-round rookie Dexter Williams could serve as a change-of-pace back looks bleak given his inability to hang on to the ball (he dropped a pass and couldn't secure a handoff in which a fumble was charged to the quarterback).

Just need Aaron Jones to get and stay healthy.

Quote:
16.54%

The percentage of Aaron Jones runs that went for 10 yards or more. That was third most among running backs. Jones had 934 yards from scrimmage and nine touchdowns for the Packers last year. His 5.47 YPC ranked first among backs with at least 75 carries.

No regression anticipated, huh?

All the good things the Pack did last year will be repeated, and all the bad things will be eliminated.

He's not a Chicago Bear, so no. He'll probably be even better this year.

Khalil Mack will literally be living in the Pack's backfield.
