Just because you’ve got a bullpen doesn’t mean you have to use it. It might be a good move to let them get out of trouble. Darvish shouldn’t have been pulled, just as Wick shouldn’t have been pulled.

just got home.

Checked the score, 5-0 in the 5th. Not surprised, we always salvage the final game of a series.

Checked again, 5-1 in top of the 9th. We got it. But then I thought, imagine if they gave this up. Nah, no way it would happen.

Tuned in half hour later in the car, Pat and Ron reporting the shocking result.

Darvish apologists have been avoiding this the entire second half. Sure he's pitching better but he is basically doing the job of a good 4-5: get the team to the sixth inning with a lead and leave. This guy is no leader or workhorse.
