Would have been a painful one to lose. The meltdown Darvish had, makes me very skeptical about his ability to pitch well in the playoffs. 4 in a row is nice. Now, beat Samardjia tomorrow for the sweep! He has been very good in his last 6-8 starts, with an ERA just over 2. Not gonna be easy. Need Hendricks to be at his best. Need to sign Castellanos to an extension too.

he has the weirdest stats of a starting pitcher. take away the ER and he looks like an ace. he throws pine needles until he throws a beach ball to hit.

he didn't deserve the win, but his no-decision record has to lead MLB.

Ironic that the guy who failed to hustle on a pop fly to LF that the outfielder lost in the sun and had to settle for a single (when he should have been on 2nd) winds up scoring the only run. Defense was the difference in this game. The fly to left, followed by the error by Crawford, allowed the Cubs to score their lone run. Bryant's great play in the top of the 8th, saved a double down the line and Baez robbed Yaztremski to open the 9th.
