Do you think the fact that the Deacon and Mitch are allowing Julie, Miska, et al to delve into the personal lives of listeners will have an effect on the ratings?

I rarely read the ratings books threads ... is 670 doing producing numbers of any particular value? They may well ... I just don't happen to know.

They're doing well on the backs of the Cubs, but not as well as one might expect them to, considering they're the Chicago Cubs -- even at the very end in the throes of the rebuild, I think WGN was seeing a bigger boost during baseball season than the Score has seen the last year or two. Mornings are reliably the back end of the top ten, but middays and afternoons without day baseball are in the big Chicago Radio Blob with most everyone else.

My guess is that Julie is bulletproof when it comes to this stuff, and because she draws all this commotion without costing much money, she's probably safer at debt-ridden Entercom than Mac is.

I actually like listening to Julie ( even though she should stop expecting the Cubs to be good) , And I will listen to a little bit of Mac and Parkins... I used to like Bernstein until he became obsessed with slash lines ... and Larry provides the best hate-listen

Ch has it right on Julie. Only way she leaves is it some other company offers her more money. Wscr will gladly continue to pay her peanuts

I don't think it will impact ratings at all. DeCastro has done a good job of having the hosts keep the political/social justice talk to a minimum while on the air. I also think this board has served as an echo chamber and its members have worked themselves into a state of outrage that the general public does not feel. If she's that flipping annoying on twitter, just stay away from her twitter feed. If no one listens to her while she's on the air or pays attention to her generally, she will eventually disappear.

I'm generally indifferent to the station as a whole. It's wall to wall moaning and whining over the Cubbies. And none of the hosts are funny or particularly likeable anymore

I guess I should have screencapped the post. The guy texted bernstein & McKnight asking (mockingly) why they don't talk about the Cubs anymore and they responded by calling him a "dumbass". The Score hosts hate the listeners. That's why I no longer listen.
