I've wondered why they just haven't done that. There are a few outside of Spiderman Universe like Hulk, she-hulk, and Namor to name a few, they do not 100% own.

Marvel fucked up by not connecting Venom some how to the MCU.

Finally saw this last night. Not as good as Homecoming, but I still liked it. but, then again I'm a massive Spidey fan. I've always hated and not bought into Mysterio is a character, but I thought he movie did as good a job as you can possibly do with the guy. The movie was lacking in other villains though. The last movie had Vulture, but also had Shocker, Tinkerer and even introduced Scorpion. This one just had Mysterio. Movie definitely needed someone else as well.

I did enjoy seeing Pete and MJ since we got none of that in Homecoming. also liked seeing Ned and Betty get together since they do in the comics.

I thought they addressed the 5 year "blip" pretty good, but not great. Like why is the older kid still in their class? Wouldn't he have been going to some form of school during the 5 years everyone was gone? Also, Midtown High got hit pretty hard by Thanos as it seemed that only one person escaped being dusted.


The very ending with his identity being outed, not sure what the plan to do bout that in the next movie...if there is a next movie.

They really need to settle their issues with Disney cause it would suck if this got remvoed from MCU. Spidey is at his best when he's riffing with other famous characters.

The more I’ve been watching YouTube videos and reading about the Symbiotes I think Spidey really needs to stay in the MCU as the Symbiote lore crosses into other Disney owned character stories.

Bring Venom over too!

I watched this last night and did not like it at all. It wasn't at all interesting until the introduction of Mysterio, whose backstory was kind of interesting and unexpected (at least to me, as it was different from the 60s cartoon...I don't know if his backstory has been changed since then) and towards the end I was rooting for one or all of Peter's H.S. classmates to get killed. The two teachers/chaperones were irritating as hell (JB Smoove? GTFO), and, teenager or not, Peter seemed more like a fretful Woody Allen than anything else. I know all heroes are conflicted, but this threat was not as dire as what Peter had already experienced at this point.

The character of Flash Thompson used to be a meathead jock who could legitimately bully pre-Spiderman Peter. In the last two movies I'm pretty sure pre-Spiderman Peter could kick the ass of the fay, fuchsia-panted twit who now plays Flash.

Ned reminds me of Hula Hula from the old Plastic Man cartoons.

This is one of the few Marvel movies I liked less than Thor: Ragnarok.

Yeah the movie is pretty terrible.

This and Captain Marvel do not give me high hopes for the MCU going forward.

Also, it’s 90% rotten tomatoes score is all you need to know when trying to understand the Disney review manipulation conspiracy theories.

I am about to send Disney an email asking if they will take captain marvel off of my screen of disney +.

I think they are going to a different direction moving forward. I am gonna guess, they are gonna explore the more darker side with Blade, Punisher, and DareDevil.
