The underpasses of the parkways that run through Long Island were built with unusually low clearances so that buses couldn't take poor (read: black) people to Jones Beach or other points east.

US Unemployment down to UNDER 4.0% Real income up about 2.5% for year end July 31, 2018.

Meanwhile those dumbasses at CNN and MSNBC cannot even have the decency to cover the return of Korean War soldiers because is just might give Trump some credit for their return. As a veteran whose uncle fought and bled in Korea, I appreciate it that some of the guys he fought with are returning to their homeland.

Obama didn't give a shit about the families of Korean veterans wanting their relatives coming home. Obama was the most uncaring POS president ever when it came to veteran's issues. Hell, that asshole actually wanting the US to bow to other countries and their leaders. He led an apology tour to heads of state in virtually ever country in the world.

The biggest soldier hating, cop hating, radical Islamic loving POS ever in the White House.

This is too good to pass up. In this thread, I will be arguing with WFR not as myself, but as his chosen candidate Bernie Sanders using his official website.

Poverty rates? There are a ton of other factors involved in that including levels of education.

"Today, black men are sentenced to 19% more jail time for committing the exact same crime as white men, and African Americans are jailed at more than five times the rate of whites."
"Today redlining prevents businesses owned by people of color from getting loans, and predatory lending results in higher interest rates in low-income communities of color. More than 47% of African Americans are unbanked or underbanked and some 43% of Hispanic families are unbanked or underbanked, whereas 18% of whites are unbanked or underbanked. The massive disparities and discrimination in the availability of financial services must end."
"Systemic inequities have created innumerable disparities across racial groups from health outcomes, to health insurance rates, education outcomes, college debt rates, and police violence. Bernie is running for president because he believes we’re obligated to do more than just acknowledge the problem. He believes in implementing policies that aim to achieve substantive equality now—while the generations alive today can benefit. In a country that is genuinely free, neither one’s zip code nor the color of their skin would determine a child’s life outcome. Bernie believes our country is morally bound to close the racial wealth divide."

WaitingforRuffcorn wrote:
Why do you want it to be racism as the answer to all of these problems? Doesn't that seem too simply and frankly dangerous? It's saying don't bother to try because the system is out to get you. To me that's nihilism.

That is what we must do, and that is what we will do."

Yep!

I thought about that as I was writing, but I'm on a phone and the only other verb I could think of was "unsheathe," and the last time I unsheathed something, I got into trouble.

Missed this gem before.

WFR is a Yang guy if he's for a Democrat at all, though.

I can't make a post about Bernie without him getting on me about it.

Seems like someone is really upset they got called on supporting Trump. It would seem that if, like Rick, you think racism is such a problem in the United States then you would vote for Sanders over Trump.

Wow. I didn't expect you to have no response at all.

Instead, you brought up something I already answered to you earlier in the day.

You got into it with Jorr, CH and TM over Bernie. Yet, I was the only one you dragged up a year old thread about and complained about.

If you really think racism is a problem then it would seem Bernie is a better candidate than Trump. You don't seem to think that though. Hmm.

Well, CH and TM make perfect sense for liking Bernie. JORR to some degree. You make no sense at all. Though, when I read that through and saw Bernie specifically mentioned redlining it reminded me of your post in here and I searched it out and then I had to make an example of why you and Bernie aren't exactly on the same page.

Once again, I gave you an explanation for this earlier in the day which you didn't respond to. Go find it as I am not going to retype it in this thread simply because you don't have a good answer to Bernie completely contradicting your entire thought process here.

The person who always requests links of past conversations, and drags up year old threads is upset about having to repeat his post from earlier in the day?

I had this discussion more than a year ago, and you dragged it up, while without feeling the need to do so concerning discussions from today with 4 other posters regarding Bernie Sanders. If you are interested in the discussion you can read what I wrote a year a go then. Until then get your MAGA hat on you complete fraud.

Fair enough. I no longer expect any sort of response to what I posted.
