i haven't seen all of chappelle's newer netflix specials but a good friend of mine was bugging me to watch this one and we had nothing to do last night so we fired it up.

it was definitely worth it. chappelle has pretty much had enough of the "cancel culture" and "#metoo" stuff (and also takes shots at jussie smollett) and this is the hardest i've laughed at something in a while.

of course, when i googled this special, various articles came up basically trying to "cancel" chappelle. he's transphobic, he's racist (which is hilarious, considering most progressives will try to protect any "person of color" they deem worth of their bias) and he's "out of touch" and "tarnishing his legacy".

this special will still be funny 20 years from now, because he's touching on that timeless quality of humor: insight and reflection. he's admitting that these things bother him, and he's being honest about his reactions.

what's considered progressive now will most likely backfire in the coming years, and all these "writers" denouncing chappelle will probably be forgotten about.

it's like zig ziglar said: no one's ever erected a statue for a critic.

chappelle also describes a really good exchange with standards & practices from back during the "chappelle's show" days. it perfectly sums up the hypocrisy of what constitutes "offensive".

Glad he is the famous person with the balls to speak up.

Other than the one Vice article and The Atlantic chiming in with their SJW gospel take, not seeing much fuss about this latest Chappelle special. Twitter mentions mostly positive, with a lotta straw-man "anyone who doesn't like this must suck" tweets before moving on to dance on Tulsi Gabbard's campaign's grave. I'd rather watch an hour of Tulsi Gabbard in yoga pants than an hour of some roided up dude complaining about how difficult life is for TV personalities.
