It's nice that a six inning, two earned run effort against the top hitting team in the league is now considered a disappointing outing for Giolito. I wasn't sold on him, even at the break but I think we have seen his floor at times in the second half and it isn't all that bad.

I'm not holding him up as any kind of ace but I think he is now perfectly acceptable at the top of the rotation going forward.

I don't think you can win a championship with a 30 error guy at short. They're losing this game because of him. On Sunday he nonchalanted a ball and made Lopez throw extra pitches, Choo walked then. They won the game, but those things are hard for your pitchers to overcome. They're dispiriting when they happen time and time again.
