Mike spoke about her participation in this fiasco, so I would believe she is fair game.

I understand how Mike could think that the Email FORM SUBMISSION could be from Teddy G. (chalk one up to stupidity)

But for Bebe to work on this response and she used this Email as gospel calls her character into question as well. If not her character then her intelligence. One way or the other, someone in North's camp should be held responsible for either believing the email as authentic or using something they knew was untrue and holding it out as authentic.

Not that I ever held Mike to a high ethical standard, but this was not an 'off the cuff" remark. This well a thought out response by not only Mike, but his wife and neice. I might even add the guy who runs the site for Mike should have had some input to alert them to the very possible chance, that the email was not from teddy.

Agreed, though I have had a couple people who have said he does expect free stuff for being Mike on occasion. Im sure hes not the only one that is guilty of this.

I have met Northie on a number of occasions and the guy was a gentlemen and an engaging and personable guy as you ever want to meet.

I met him a few times at Basta Pasta when he did his T.V. show and he brought Bob Probert over to our table and introduced us and bought us a round drinks and sat with us and Bullshitted with Probie and my buddies for a half an hour and Mike didn't know us from Adam.

When he did his remotes with Jiggs and Walter Payton , Mike was the guy shaking hands and spending time with the listeners and asking people how they are doing. Walter didn't want to be bothered but Mike got on him to be personable most times.

I have said this before here that you guys ought to meet a person before you rip them and make all these comments here. You all have the right to say what ever you want and this is a message board and everyone is fair game but I think many of you who have met Mac , Jurko , Harry, Carm , ect have a different opinion of them as people once you meet them.

Does Northie's show suck? Yeah , I would agree that he is not the same "Sports radio host " but that does not make him a bad guy , just a bad sports radio host. His Wife Bebe is a sweetheart and Mike did out kick his coverage with her but all you guys know that your wife sticks by your side right or wrong and she is doing what every wife would and that's defending her husband.

All the guys at ESPN are great guys and you root for guys like Carmen , Mac, Jurk , Harry , Hoodie, JD, Silvy and I can say the same for Northie having met the man that you root for people who you have run into and treated you with respect and kindness and Mike is that guy.

As much as I rip his show, I have always said the time I have met him for the most part, he is a good guy. I have seen him get on a producer at remotes, but not as nearly as bad as Murph does. Is Mike a asswipe? I dont think so. Is he a control freak who has made himself look like a asswipe over the last 5 years because he wont fix a broken product, oh yea.

Here is good story about Mike, they were doing a remote in mt. prospect from what I recall and I was walking up and North pulled up in his car, got out, gave the keys to the valet. He then handed him a 100 bill and asked him to fill his tank and to keep the change, this was gas was like 2.00 a gallon. As I was leaving I saw the valet and asked how much he ended up with. He said the car only needed like 30 bucks of gas and he tried to give Pappy some of the money back and Mike told him to keep it, so I do beleive that North does treat people good at times. Since then, I have had people who work with him tell me a few horror stories, but I think he is getting beat up enough at this time.

I agree Vann. Mike can only blame himself for the product he has put on the air and as for getting on producers and employees of the Score, I'm sure there are a long list of guys who are jumping for joy all over this but I think I explained my thoughts about Mike as a person pretty clearly.

You did, no problem and I wasnt arguing your point, just adding on because I think while a lot of people beat up on him, most times it has to do with the show, not Mike. I said it in another thread, if they put Mike with a cohost who will challenge him, I am all for it, I hope they do, it would be a huge step for the score.

Mike is very nice to people. He is a different person doing a tough interview on the air than he is in person with co-workers, associates, his fans, etc. I have ripped on the content and people who have been on his morning show. But I would not rip Mike for how he treated me or others based on what I personally observed during the five years I worked with him.

Bebe is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. There is no reason to bring her into this. I don't know anyone who has met her who would have a single bad word to say about her. I think that's way out of line.

Bebe is nice, we are associated with some of the same Animal shelters and no one has ever said a bad word about her, she has a great rep. with those we deal with.

Totally in agreement with you. I would not be opposed to actually having Jiggets back with him.

I think the Score really needs a shot in the arm.I loved B&B WHEN they did mid mornings but since they are opposite of Mac I don't listen to the Score period.I would like a reason to turn it back on but nothing has caught my ear over there in a long time. Mike back with Jiggs would do that for me.

Sure, when Mike started he was a great guy. He has changed.

Maybe not dealing with someone one on one, but his own view of himself has changed.

The money, the power he got and the basic fame he attained has put him to a point in his moind that he has done no wrong for the last 5 years. When in fact he has done poorly, no matter how he adds and subtracts the numbers. The show is bad and the bad is all Mike.

As for Bebe, I have never met her and anything ever said about her has been good, but the author of the post has a very good point. While she does very nice things, this should not place her beyond reproach for her involvement in accussing someone of doing something they didn't do.

Didn't Mike say she was the author of this "Investiagtive report". And to "LIE" in order to try and prove someone else is lieing says a lot about Mike and if Mike ties it to Bebe, which he did, then the facts are there.

One of my former employers, made a large sum of money. Socially, people he knew thought he was wonderful, donated a large sum of money to a local hospital and was the smiling great guy when he saw someone he knew.

At work, he was an asshole to people. Ruined many lives, just for the fun of it. It was not 'just' business either. He was a complete asshole to people. That does not mean bebe is such a person, but everyone has a spiteful bone somewhere.

Can we put this "tough interviewer" myth to bed already. There is a difference between being a tough interviewer and a confrontational asswipe that some of you guys seem to not see.

Usually I would remove such Wife/GF's stuff, but Mike has brought her into this a few times, so she is in play as far as I am concerned.

I worked for THE WORST HUMAN BEING ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH and he had a reputation as the Nicest guy you would ever want to meet. He was the type of guy when you came to his office or house he always went out of his way to greet you, give you things, from a pen to a shirt and then always wrote nice follow up letters.

He taught me alot. Whenever I meet someone that nice I question it highly now.

I think I will start my own section on GPK III so everyone can be entertained on this one. It was really amazing.

Didn't Mike say on Monday that he was going to let al this stuff with Teddy G. go until Bebe said she going to -- dramatic pause -- "kick Teddy's ass"? So it sounds like she's responsible to a large degree for this whole "truth" thing.

I couldn't care less how many $100 bills he throws at parking lot attendants or how he makes nice at remotes or how many animal shelters he donates to. My only relationship with him is as a consumer of his product and his product is shit and he comes across over the radio as an ignorant douchebag who thinks he's god's gift to Chicago. If his personality is so different and he's such a good guy when he's out meeting the public, then maybe he should just be a roving ambassador for the Score and do meet-and-greet events or something. Just get him as far away from a microphone as possible.

After this whole thing, my affinity for Be-Be has gone down a few notches.

I don't disagree with your thoughts about the personal side of the Norths. I think he is a good guy personally and I highly admire him professionally. I, along with bigfan and keeping score, are probably his biggest fans on the site. However, your "don't rip them until you meet them" theory holds no water. If that were true, there would be no personal ripping on anyone with whom I did not make personal contact.

I think I have enough information on the subject to say that Hitler was a questionable character and John Paul II was a pretty good man.
