AP Poll

Nebraska opens ranked. Some other Big Ten pity picks just above them, but it will be interesting to see Iowa beats Ia. State on 9-14. NU with a brutal first half. Some good early games: NU-Stanford and Auburn-Oregon on 8-31. Texas A as well as M at Clemson on 9-7. ND-Georgia on 9-21. LSU-Texas is early, too, I think.

1 Clemson
2 Alabama
3 Georgia
4 Oklahoma
5 Ohio State
6 LSU
7 Michigan
8 Florida
9 Notre Dame
10 Texas
11 Oregon
12 Texas A&M
13 Washington
14 Utah
15 Penn State
16 Auburn
17 UCF
18 Michigan State
19 Wisconsin
20 Iowa
21 Iowa State
22 Syracuse
23 Washington State
24 Nebraska
25 Stanford

Does NU lay an egg at Stanford? I guess it is their MO. I just can't tell if this makes Fitz a genius for doing less with more or the opposite, but, considering the alternative (1972-1994), I'll take it.

Illinois 28, Akron 26

It seems to take the cats about three weeks to start to roll every year. However, they usually lay an egg against bad teams early in the season. It wouldn't surprise me if they take it to Stanford

And then lose to Duke, if they're on the schedule as usual.

I'm curious to see if Purdue has more talent around Rondale Moore.

At the WR they have a huge amount of new talent. David Bell, who may be a slow starter this year due to a nagging injury in camp, should be an immediate high impact player. The line is going to be a problem all year though. Teams are going to attack the quarterback at every chance.

I still think Kellen Mond will be a good pro.

a bunch of people put Utah in their final 4. I know that its the first week and BYU is a rivalry game but they barely looked like a top 25 team outside of Moss.

This Boise State freshman QB has some moxy.

Btw, FSU offense looks pretty good early in 2nd year of Willie Taggart tenure.

Nebraska struggling against South Alabama.

Gotta love when the ESPN hype train is wrong.

They can retire the broadcast team doing the Illinois game as well. These two may be the worst I've ever heard. They're calling things that haven't happened and are as lifeless as the half empty dump that is Memorial Stadium.

I heard earlier that they have the longest home opener winning streak in the nation at 22.

At least it was against a MAC school and a blowout. Not expecting much in the Big-10, hopefully this is something to build upon.

Alabama put their suspended players in in the second quarter and this is no longer a game. It's almost comical.

They stupidly put their faith in a backstabber like Jimbo and are eating crap now as a result.. Good for them.
