What the hell is the matter with you? That is about as infantile as it gets. Renteria should have pulled the pitcher , Osich, who failed to nail the first batter up and chewed his ass. The Sox were pussies in that game and Abreu has a very sore bleeping arm that was uncalled for. Renteria lost the respect of the team in that game. No doubt about it.

I doubt that Abreu said anything. And it wasn't Abreu's call. It was up to the pitcher to nail someone and if he didn't Renteria should have chewed his ass and taken him out of the damned game. It was a weak-assed show by the Sox all around.

There has been more than enough great to think he can cut it as an MLB starter. Next step is consistency.

This is why they won't win next year. Cease and Kopech will both be rookies. I am looking for Giolito and Lopez to have full seasons, which isn't too much of an over projection. Get a premium starter and a lesser one for next year. 2021 is the year.

It's time for a new voice of pitching instruction. Not that Coop is responsible for a 5-1/2 ERA, but I would guess the White Sox are behind the times in the area of lab work and analysis.

Not a person on this board knows what is taking place behind the scenes. Cooper has a very good reputation as a pitching coach based on what I have heard from other team broadcasters. I think that what Lopez is doing is OJT. So is Cease. Actually you can say the same about Giolito. He is far from a finished product.

I'll say this. Watching this game today just showed me how ridiculous the current baseball that they are using is. At least four of the home runs hit in this game would have been fly ball outs 4-5 years ago. As for the pitchers trying to throw a ball with no raised seams, its all fast balls and change-ups that they can throw over the plate. Very few curves and sliders are being thrown for strikes or get the center of the plate and get hammered. Its ridiculous to see.

It is amazing to me how many of you guys are ready to give up on Lopez. Its like you want these guys to be finished products when they come up. Especially when they get hurt. Wake up. There's certain pitchers who put too much on themselves. He's one of them. When you're getting in a jam, it takes all 9 guys to get out of it. Get AHEAD. If they hit it, they hit it.
