Does your family do puzzles or is that out as staging?

Not as much as we used to. Used to do them all the time up there. That puzzle table is really nice. Has a couple hidden drawers you pull out where you can put pieces. It's going to be one of the hot ticket items this weekend when me and my brothers basically have a fantasy draft over all the furniture. With me and the wife planning to move this year from the condo to a house we have our eye on the dining room table as our #1 draft pick. Also gonna take a bedroom set for a guest bedroom. I think my niece is eyeing the puzzle table, but her dad wants a couch. Draft could get interesting.

SOLD! Went on the market Monday, first showing was Friday. The people who looked at it decided to come back the same night and look at it again. Made an offer pretty close to asking price the same day. By next morning they came up to $10k under asking price and my parents accepted.

Now I'm wondering if they priced it high enough. Fucking realtor wanted them to price it even lower, at 1.1. My dad decided on the price. IMO, the realtor shouldn't get a commission on any money over the 1.1 she was recommending. Actually, I think that should be a rule for all real estate sales. Should stop realtors from trying to price properties lower than value in an attempt to make a quick commission.

Honest question. If you spending $1.3 mil for a house, whats another $10K on the price? Did the buyers offer that so just they could feel like they 'won' the negotiation?

we rent a home the week after christmas every year in the lawsonia property area. you have to drive through the golf course to get to the homes...its called Deer Path i think.

The original offer was 50k under asking. We came down 10k off asking. They countered by accepting contingent on my parent's throwing in some stuff that was on the exclusion list (towels, linens, dishes, cups). My mom wasn't happy about that part, but my dad told her for 40k she can go buy any stupid towels she wants.

yeah its right on the lake. Its too expensive in the summer to rent. The family that owns this house gives us a ridiculous deal for the week.
