I can't see how I'd be considered upset by it. I did not start the thread. I did not bump the thread. I do not find this to be newsworthy.

You don't like how the story is being portrayed. That sounds like a you problem.

This case wasn't two people getting drunk, going back to the dorm, and the other party regretting it the next day. Those cases exist, this isn't that case. He got drunk, she got drunk, he finger fucked her in the dirt outside a frat house while she was passed out.

The way you frame your argument is revealing. In your mind she's not a victim of sexual assult, she's someone who was given a book deal after getting drunk at a party. I'm beginning to doubt that you think she was even a victim of a crime.

Jesus Christ dude, he wasn't summarily executed because someone made a baseless accusation. He was tried and convicted in a court of law. He was potentially facing 14 years in prison but was sentenced to six months and served three. All those questions you raised above were most likely presented at trial. That's what a trial is for.

Elections have consequences.

This bothers you. A rapist having to deal with consequences bothers you. The victim being allowed to have a voice and speak against these crimes bothers you. The fact that she is able to continue her life and move past the rape while the rapist does not have that ability bothers you.
