Any rational GM ignores the fine. You don't essentially cost your team a potential victory for $50k and probably lose your locker room. Teams wipe out fines all the time. Especially when it comes to a star missing a practice. Even if he is insane.

That's a great thing. Somehow I forgot about that. Now that I think about it Mayock made the right decision. You have to send a message to the rest of the team that there are consequences for being an asshole. Make is 5 games if he continues being insubordinate.

Apparently, if they suspend him they won’t owe the $29 million guaranteed over the next 2 years, and can cut him at any time without pay.

They would essentially be losing the $1 million dollar signing bonus and a 3rd + 5th round draft pick.

Not a bad move by Mayock.

Antonio is a CTE riddled locker room cancer.

I think Mayock is ready to cut his losses.

Even tho an employee may be productive, if they have a highly toxic personality that brings the whole team down. I’ve seen it MANY times.
