Came out today.

Pretty good.

It's a like a milder version of the Chappelle special from last month that still hits on some good points about outrage culture.

This is good. And I can't wait to see people's heads explode over this.

He should have done this show in America.

The riff he did at the start of his "women who like it rough" bit was great.

Because of this special, my wife learned Stephen Hawking was british.
Just because he sounds like a speak and spell she had no idea he was a brit.
I found that the best part of the show.
Tiffy learned something useless.

Per his appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast, apparently he cut a 6-7 minute military bit from the special as the crowd reaction was shit. There was some terrorist threat that happened early in the day that he didn't know about.

Those goddamn terrorists just never have any sense of comedic timing.

i think chappelle's special was better because burr comes off as a lot angrier. the forced fake laugh just seethes throughout the set. angry comedy works better when the comic isn't actually showing his or anger.

but there are some great bits, and some real truths that unfortunately will just get him reprimanded by the far left here. i found myself nodding my head more than laughing out loud, but it was still really good.

and the shot of him holding his daughter at the end was kinda sweet, even if it was mawkish.

He’s always been an angry comic tho. It’s part of his bit. I didn’t think this special was as good as his previous stuff but I don’t think he came off especially angry either.

I'd say he didn't come off angry enough. Burr is at his best when he's ranting about something that truly irks him. Much of what he was "ranting" about in this special seemed contrived. He seems to have lost a bit of his edge, whether due to age, parenthood, or just his level of success.

Chappelle's special seemed like classic Chappelle, and he just happened to be politically incorrect regarding a few topics.

Burr's special - particularly the beginning - seemed like Burr was trying to be politically incorrect and was therefore not genuine or especially funny.

I thought it was really good but not great. If I hadn't watch Chappelle do something similar I imagine that I would have laughed more.

There were enough times that Burr came off as triggered by the internet rather than being inspired to satirize. That is not true of his career.

I thought it was good, not great.

Everyone else who’s watched both said Chappelle’s is just on another level.
