Driving on the shoulder / cutting the median's an Ohio thing. They park there too. Drive through Ohio and there's all these cars parked along the interstate on the shoulder and even up into the median. The whole state needs AAA.

Back in the day, I was coming back home from league bowling night which was about a 50 minute trip because I had moved since I originally joined, and the car overheated. Something was wrong with it, so I pulled over on the side of the road on 80. It is probably 11PM and I got cars driving by me 3 feet away at 80 MPH. It is scary as hell. Stayed in the car waiting for the tow because I figured at least it had an airbag, but that's not a good spot to be in as a stationary person.
