Yep.

Couldn't even go past 6.

Arm troubles looming.

Velo is way down.

WS rings are up 1

Would still take Boston’s side of this trade by a fucking country mile. If we win a ring I’ll reconsider. So far they are way ahead. The first three weeks of this season don’t change that trade

Here's the way I look at it: Yoan could end up being Babe Ruth, but if White Sox don't win the World Series, they lost the trade. Not saying that they could of won the WS with Sale, but fact remains that the Red Sox have won one with Sale.

The other argument I can make is if he does put up Ruth like numbers the Red Sox could have won many championships instead of just one.

So right now there's no answer

It could end up being win/win but there’s really no way Boston will ever lose the trade. A WS is really hard to win. It makes that trade worth it. Every other hypothetical is just speculation

A lot of deep thinking here.
I may have to jump back on the bandwagon.

OST...nah, pitching'll kill em. I'm just a month early this time getting off. But at least it'll be fun on the sidelines.

Or something!

Sale would have never had the extra wear and tear of playoff innings with the Sox though.

Since I'm old and feeble...Didn't Sale have problems with the Sox and the pitcher whisper move him to the pen and he straightened himself out?

We’ve been agreeing too much so I’m glad you expressed another terrible opinion. I agree fuck Harper but I’ll always root for Sale. Glad to see him win a ring last year while Kenny and Hahn bumblefucked their way to another bottom 5 finish.

Yoan is like a throwback to the days when Right Said Fred were topping the charts. He’s too sexy for his own good. It’s like Mike Piazza removing his shirt and getting all oiled up for the Dodgers photo shoot.

As of today's date Yoan is sitting at 3.5 WAR on baseball-reference and Sale is at 2.1 and out for the season. This is the first year, hopefully of many, that the White Sox get more production from their end of the trade than the Red Sox get from theirs. A World Series title is priceless, but it would be nice if the White Sox can walk away from this trade with more than $24 worth of beads.

They tried to move him into the bullpen early in 2012 but someone with a brain in the org almost immediately nixed the idea

he was in the pen his first year or two

I'm sure Boston will never complain since they won a WS, but the White Sox can win too if Machado becomes a star.

how are the rest of the players they got in that deal?

Huge upside to Kopech.
Moncado looks to be a good MLB player.

I find it unforgivable that the White Sox couldn't build a winner around a #1 ace like Sale, but they did ok in the trade. Boston got their WS....the White Sox get MLB level talent in return for a guy who clearly didn't want to be there.

Sale has started two All Star games and won a World Series since the trade.

Kopech’s arm fell off last year and we have no idea what they had before he got hurt because he didn’t pitch enough in the majors.

It’s going to take an awful lot from him. He’s no Chris Sale. At least not yet.

Boston won the Trade. Chris Sale won the trade.
My answer was response to what the White Sox got in return. They did not come up empty. They received value.
