That's probably one of a million reasons why you should not be relying on QBR to tell you things about how QBs performed.

Are you actually arguing that Mitch is a better runner than Lamar, or just fucking around doing your Rick thing?

I was simply stating how QBR viewed (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.

I don't think it is really fair to compare quarterbacks on running ability. The good quarterbacks, even if they can run, don't do it as anything more than a third option outside of a few spot situations.

Lamar Jackson would probably be a better player if both players were playing running back but I'm not sure who is really a better running quarterback. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is pretty good at it.

Lamar Jackson is the better QB and running QB.

I agree somewhat;
Matt Nagy wrote:
That angle of where Taylor was and where Mitch was wasn't the greatest of angles. I think Mitch would tell you, listen, if I had that over again, it would be more of a line-drive shot and kinda a back shoulder (throw)."

However;
Quote:
Simmons was late picking up Gabriel, but not so late to give the Bears a shot at turning this play into a touchdown. Still, (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has a clear shot at connecting with an open Gabriel for a chunk gain on first down at the very least, and at the best Gabriel could've made Simmons miss and taken the play to the house.

These, simply, are the kind of throws the Bears need (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to make. The play design worked, perhaps not perfectly, but Nagy schemed one of his receivers open. The blocking was good, with Shaheen and Patterson neutralizing Miller on the right and Charles Leno keeping Bradley Chubb at arm's length on the left. Center James Daniels nailed his protection, pancaking Nelson in the process.

The Bears wound up settling for a field goal on this drive, which wasn't completely unproductive (it was a 52-yarder, one yard shy of Eddy Pineiro's game winner, which went the same direction in the fourth quarter). But for the Bears' offense to truly find its rhythm, it needs to take advantage of these kind of plays and pick up chunks of yardage on first down. In this one instance, the play was there, but the execution was not.
So, WOW :(

It's one thing if he broke off his route and was covered. It's another when the guy is wide open. He has to recognize that and doubly, triply, quadruply, make sure the ball gets to him.

Maybe. He could have thrown the safe pass and gotten a first down. The play calls for Gabriel to head upfield and he didn't. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky threw the ball like he was heading upfield.

This blaming the WRs thing is so dumb. When opposing defenses explicitly say that the recipe to beat the Bears is to simply let (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky QB then there are obvious issues with your QB. Fangio implied this as much when he bottled up Montgomery and let (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky slice and dice him for a whopping 90 yards and 16 points.

I wouldn't bet on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky given how he has looked in the first two games. Things look bad. It is just two games though.

I’m as hyped on Lamar as anyone else but I need to see him against a decent defense, not even an elite one. He opens up the season with arguably the three worst defenses in the nfl.

Vegan is to be ignored. He does the same thing all of the time. He comes out saying how terrible something is and if it stays that way he can scream about being right. If it ends up good he can still celebrate with the masses and say that he's glad he was wrong or not even acknowledge that he was wrong.

Vegan is of course a terrible human being. That goes without saying. But in this case you are just lashing out because you can’t refute his points. (Except his point about trading for Eli. That was fucking dumb and easily refutable)

I've refuted his points for over a year. He became silent during the playoffs. It's possible that I am the most objective person who posts about (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky here.

He doesn't have the frame to survive, especially with as much as running as he does.

Except he was apart of the same defense that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky carved up in the 4th quarter to kill their playoff hopes.

We’ll see. They said the same about Russell and Vick. It’s doubtful Lamar becomes as great of a pocket passer as Russ but it’s not implausible. He’s already starting. Like I said tho, I need to see him against a league average defense at least before buying in.

But to be fair Williams clarified his statement and said he was just talking about making Mitch pass from the pocket because he’s at his best scrambling and extending plays.

It would be hard for him to go Woodson when (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky ended their playoff hopes last season. He had a 120 rating and 2 touchdowns in that season ending game for the Packers.
