I talked about it all preseason. He's clearly lost a couple of steps in addition to being injury prone and a bad teammate.

Hes very average and if he gets much worse he'll be objectively bad. Even the big throw against the Bears was obviously less than he was capable of even in 2017. The injuries have clearly caught up with him.

Rodgers is very average? You’re handling this season even worse than I thought. If you tell me 5 QBs you’d rather have I will know you are lying about at least 2

Brady
Mahomes
Brees
Rivers
Wilson

You’re lying on the last 3. And definitely the last one. Your Russell Wilson hate is well documented here and it’s still just as foolish as it always was.

Mahomes, Brady and Wilson are all clearly better. Had Luck not retired he'd be better too.

Brees and Rivers look no less finished than Rodgers does but since they are generally competent enough to not turn it over without retreating into a cocoon offense (ahem Bears ahem) they still get to occupy the top ten. But none of these guys are really capable of taking over games against good teams any more.

2019 is proving to already be the year the grim reaper came for the Golden Age of NFL QB's. Brees and Big Ben have already been claimed. Luck retired. Rodgers and Rivers are falling apart. Relative to his peers Rodgers has slipped only from being the very best to now being a tier below the very best, but that underlies a much steeper and more obvious decline in the effectiveness of his play. He's not the player he once was, not even close.

Matt Ryan is a top ten QB now because the minimum threshold for such a distinction is literally "can throw the ball to Julio Jones and only create two turnovers a game".

Rodgers is gonna play at a high level for at least 4 more years. You sound like you’re trying to convince yourself he’s finished, not me.

The difference between the Packers and Bears currently is that when Rogers through a duck into the end zone his guy caught it against a backup S but when Mitch did it the backup caught it.

Rodgers threw a ball up high in to the endzone to Jimmy Graham, who's 6'7'' and one of the better jump ball catchers in the league still, who was being guarded by a safety 7 inches shorter, it wasn't exactly difficult to know who was gonna win that one. AND it was a free play

Mitch stared down his WR to the point where Amos, who was on the other side of the field, sprinted over and easily intercepted a pass that the WR never had a chance on.

Yeah, not much difference there.

He threw a prayer into coverage and it was answered. I guess Westboro Baptist is wrong

That kinda tells you how much I think Rodgers has fallen. Just 4 years ago he would have destroyed the Vikings by 40. Instead he gave Cousins another opportunity to choke. He also looked nearly as pedestrian as (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky did in Week 1. That defense will really need to prop him up. He's the 2nd best Packers QB I've seen, he's on the last 3 holes of his career.

He threw a jump ball, ON A FREE PLAY, to the best jump ball receiver on the field who had a 7 inch height advantage, and something very predictable happened: the 6’7” guy won the jump ball.

This reeks of a number of long-running FF feuds I had to contend with last year. Mainly the summer-long insistence that Rodgers was actually a very durable QB, a notion that now has been totally shattered after he got seriously injured in the first thirty minutes of the 2018 season.

But also when I was rightfully saying Antonio Brown was no longer the NFL's best WR and actually somewhere in the fringes of the top ten. FF likes to live in the past a bit. Except when it comes to average-to-above-average defensive starters on the Packers. Then everyone is the best player at their position or soon-to-be Aaron Donald.

He threw a wobbling ball under pressure into coverage and got lucky Dix was not on the field

I don’t think you understand what a free play means.

Antonio Brown caught 15 TD passes last year. I’m not sure there was a single disagreement we had that you were on the right side of

Hmmm. Maybe if Mitch had the leadership qualities of Rodgers his WRs wouldn’t be in the wrong spot every fucking play.

He's the third worst QB statistically right now on 3rd down. He's only ahead of Eli Manning, who's been benched, and Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is bearded and bad. Hate stats all you want, but that's pretty fucking bad.

I genuinely didn't know who he was referring to

Both have sucked but to 12's credit Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has way better WR and infinitely better RB's than Rodgers. Rodgers makes "more" out of less. But on the other hand the league lets the Packers OL hold on every play to try and keep their precious State Farm Boy healthy for more than eight games a season.

Nobody thinks the Bears have better WR and RB than GB. Come back to reality.

Montgomery may end up being great but Adams is better than every skilled position player the Bears have by a wide margin. The Bears barely have the 5th best WR in the division.

No he’s just obviously better than Cohen and Mike Davis and so far Montgomery.

The only type of football Aaron Jones is better than Tarik Cohen in is fantasy football.

This is a frankly retarded statement that I can't abide with any sort of understanding or grace, even in my softer, less angsty thirties.

Its absolutely true. 32/32 teams would take Tarik Cohen before Aaron Jones.
