This team has no heart. They have been gutless since '16. All you keep hearing is excuses. Outside of, Rizzo, Baez, Willson, Castellanos, and Lester, they have no heart. Sadly, Lester is no good anymore.

He has been around long enough for his defensive and mental game to mature and it just hasn't. All you are paying for is his offense and that is pretty all or nothing. He is not a good catcher and he is not throwing guys out like he used. Teams rarely run now and the ones that do get away with it because no one holds them on. The way Lester, Cole, Henricks all pitch they need the outside 3 inches of the zone to be effective. He is such a bad receiver that they don't get those calls.

Sox can have him. Send Cease back and throw in the Robert guy. Hell they can even have Schwarber.

The Sox would never make that trade.

Nothing wrong with testing the market on Contreras. They have that young A ball catcher they're high on. All options on the table. At least Contreras brings the intensity, unlike pussy boy Bryant.
