The Padres wouldn’t trade either of those guys straight up for Bryant. Get a clue.

Both of those guys are more valuable than Bryant right now.

A starting pitcher who makes 30 starts will face about 750 batters. A full time position player will have about 700 plate appearances. It’s all the same.

The Padres aren’t trading Gore or Paddock for Bryant straight up. Nobody is trading anything for Almora.

I'd still be surprised if they move him. They will have a lot of payroll flexibility this off-season to allow them to make moves and not get so creative that Bryant is moved.

If they did move Bryant, is it too compete now or load up with 3-4 nice prospects? I would imagine it would be difficult to find a team willing to trade young players for him given his agent, etc.

I don't think moving him will be as easy it should given his talent.

I think he's got 3-4 years before free agency so there's enough time to convince a mid-tier team to move on him, but it's just hard to think most teams not spending $200M+ are going to meet the demands on young players the Cubs would want.

The Braves are loaded, they might be interested in a KB trade for 3 top prospects. He could put em over the hump and get a WS for them too.

Yep, they have Donaldson only on a one year deal, and have been stockpiling pitching. But trades with the Braves for pitching scare me, thanks to asshats like Micah Bowie.
