That’s a bit of a stretch. He was a 6th round draft pick that didn’t even play for 2 yrs.

My guess is the defense plays below it's standards and offense plays above it's standards. Bears win narrowly but it never feel particularly in doubt.

Which great QBs emerged after 3 years as a starter?

Marino.

Marino had 20-6 rookie year and 40-17 second year.( TD -int)

Correct. Reading is a skill player. I missed the point on this one.

He still became very good after starting for a few years and not looking very good.

Ok..

Troy Aikman was a #1 overall pick that looked terrible his 1st couple years in the league. I recall people calling him a bust after his 2nd year. He got a little better his 3rd year and took off in his 4th year.

Cousins became mediocre after a couple years. There’s hope for Mitch.

I think your "3 years as a starter" point is a stretch too. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky in his second year of playing was better than multiple hall of fame quarterbacks. Favre and Young were my first two guesses based on them being traded but I am sure there are others. Other players, such as Rodgers, were still sitting the bench in year 3. Kurt Warner was a failure. That's all restricting it to hall of fame quarterbacks.

I'm not saying that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky will beat those odds and become that but I don't think you can say for certain that he will be a bust after his age 25 season.

Game plan will reveal a ton about how Nagy really feels about his QB. Does he open it up, and if he does is Mitch able to execute the offense successfully? Does he stick with a more conservative plan which keeps his D on the field for extended periods? Nagy may be a genius that purposefully get off to slow starts so that his team is peaking late in the season or Mitch may just be the wrong QB to run his system. We should know all this in the next month or two. Still don't get why you open up your kicking position to competition, but don't draft a developmental QB that successfully ran a Nagy type system in college.

There's no time to wait for Mitch to stop staring down his first option or for learning how to read defenses.

What a waste of time Trey Burton is. I would like to see the O put up 28 against this crappy team.

The Bears probably have the edge tonight against Worshington, but not against the spread. It's even.

Bears offensive line will give them time to take some shots downfield. Bears run defense will skin Peterson like he was his toddler and then they'll maul Keenum. The Bears defense will have multiple turnovers.
