The Green Bay Packers have lost cornerback Bashaud Breeland to the Kansas City Chiefs.

According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, the Chiefs are signing Breeland, who impressed over seven games and five starts with the Packers last season.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports the deal is one year with a maximum value of $5 million.

It's a long season so I'm not drawing any conclusions about it yet.

My point from the beginning is that Dix will not be a downgrade from Amos. I'm not sure he is an upgrade. There is no doubt there is a talent difference and they don't play the same type of game.

Packer fans grew to hate Dix because he avoided tackling. He seems to have overcome that, leading the Bears in tackles last night. I normally don't want my safety leading the team in tackles but the Bears were in soft coverage the entire second half. He is undoubtedly better in pass defense.

I'll wait until the end of the season to see how this shook out. It doesn't look like it will be any worse than negligible impact.

I want to know what the hell was going on defensively in that 4th quarter? On a couple of plays in a row the defense looked lost on the field and weren't ready at the snap of the ball. It really looked pathetic.

I've actually been really impressed with him.

He’s played well. He has more talent than the guy he’s replacing but he’s not as disciplined as him. There was a part of me that thought this signing was more about having a decent backup for EJ if he went down with an injury but I like how Pagano has them both out there together. Anyone with working football knowledge knew HaHa was a good football player, he was just unhappy and in a weird situation last year.


If he stays healthy, he’ll continue to be an asset for us.
