Nothing.

This guy is the GM of the Cubs by title. Does anybody give him credit or blame for anything that happens?

No. Cuz it's all Theo. You ever listen to Jed? He talks exactly like Theo. Same cadence. Same buzz words. Same style. He has basically took on Theo's personality because Jed idolizes Theo.

It's not like Jed is much younger then Theo. I'd understand it more if it were like a father/son type of thing.

I find it weird. Theo just has him around to be his drinking buddy.

Jed needs to leave and do his own franchise on his own if he wants any sort of credit or respect.

What’s the issue.

I agree. I'd be your b.itch for only 200k.

I'm just pointing out that Jed is meaningless.

Or maybe Theo goes and Jed stays.

Doesn't everybody say that Theo wants to be President of the United States for his next gig.

Bernstein says he can do it, at least. But only because he's Jewish. And the fact that Bernstein loves Theo more then his wife.

Cash checks. He has the greatest job in all of professional sports. He's the proverbial executive vice president in charge of nothing. The only job that might be better is third string NFL quarterback: you make six figures, you do nothing, and everyone loves you.

hated him from Day 1. A Theo goon only. Useless. Theo set it up to be like his own personal frat.

Get Dan, Theo, and Sage Rosenfels together..add a bottle of wine, and let the magic happen.

Hate him from day 1? Geeze.

Jed is fine. After 2017 he definitely did less radio hits. That was noticeable, and then starting in 2018 Theo was clearly the primary mouthpiece. Not sure if it’s a simple as Theo trying to face the music of his own moves or if Theo thought Jed wasn’t navigating the struggles well enough.

Who knows. I think the chances of Theo leaving is very slim. I think the chances of both leaving is close to zero but who the fuck knows.

I’ll film it, and donate my wife to entertain for the season tickets the guy in pink has behind the plate has.

Hoyer traded us Rizzo when he was GM of the Padres. Even back then he couldn't identify pitching prospects. Theo should have never hired him as GM after that trade.

It wasn't too long ago where every team simply had a GM. And he was in charge of baseball operations. Then these owners decided to make a new position. President.

So every team has a President and a GM. I never got this. Theo is in charge of everything. But Jed has the GM title. Which used to be the ultimate title as a baseball decision maker.

So you end up having to pay more money. If I owned a baseball team I'm just having a GM. You do the shit. I'm not allowing a "President" to hire his drinking buddy as "GM" at 3 million when he's not responsible for anything. Makes no sense to me.

A nutless monkey could be Vice President of Sales, the ricketts could save money by cutting most of those clowns.

The title inflation comes from the whole "giving permission to interview" process, where it's harder to not give permission for a promotion. The NFL has it too, with the bullshit Associate Head Coach position.

it's all horseshit.

But where's Jason McLeod on that list. He is the 3rd wheel between Theo & Jed.
