Now that's how you do it - putting the clamps on that high-flying Eagles offense led by a gimpy QB and an injured journeyman WR. Best defense in the north!

Makes me feel even worse about the Bears’ performance against them.

It shouldn't. That was the first time the Packers rolled out that defensive game plan. Was also the Bears first pre-season game. League has caught up to the Packers D and their lack of a running game. Division will be Viking or Bears.

Everyone else seems to have known they could be run upon except for brilliant, young offensive mind Nagy. Seriously, 3 straight games opponents got off the bus running.

Bears also were without Burton and it's also clear Peckers can't cover TE's with their shit linebackers.

Bears had a shit game against them week one last year. I'll be way more worried if we cannot pulverize Cousins this week.

I'm surprised some of you have let FavreFan off the hook on Aaron Jones after his performance last night

He actually looked OK all things considered. But yeah, FF of course wildly overrates any average Packers player to the moon. He'll claim hyperbole but he was unironically saying Kenny Clark and Preston Smith were elite players and they both got erased in ways elite players never get erased.

Kenny Clark is elite and Mack has been erased in MANY games, including week 1 against Gb this year.

Jones has not been as good as he should be this year. I expect that to change.

Hey FF: does shredding that vaunted Packers D elevate Jordan Howard into the elite group of RBs?

No. There is growing evidence Nagy simply doesn’t know how to use RBs however.

I will answer the riddle...Aaron Jones just isn't that good. Another overhyped Packer running back

The Bears held GB to ten points week one and you're trying to equivocate that performance with the absolute dud the Packers laid this week.

Kenny Clark is dogshit. I have watched all four weeks of Packers games. He gets blown off the ball every fucking play. The only time he does anything is when opponents literally forget to block him, then he looks like god's gift. I know you have your precious 3rd snaps % statistic that you cling to but he got absolutely thoroughly exposed by the Eagles and now everyone is going to attack him head on. He's literally the weakest point of the Packers defense, and the Packers' shitty defense has a lot of weak points to chose from.

I don’t cling to anything. I’ve watched every game of his also and have watched him the last few years. You’re simply wrong. He had a bad game against the Eagles but it was his first bad game of the year and he was facing maybe the best center in the league. He dominated you guys week 1. I like him. That won’t change.

Look calling him a NT is a bit of a misnomer since he does move around a bit on the Packers front shading as the scheme calls which is a bit of a departure from the likes of Haloti Ngata or Vince Wilfork. But still he's not supposed to get blown off the LOS every goddamn play. Yet here he is three weeks in a row looking like a turnstyle and the Bears probably could've exploited him to similar effect had they not stubbornly rode Mitch for sixty attempts.

He's shit bro. He's an alright pass rusher but certainly not on the level of Aaron Donald or (what used to be) Fletcher Cox, and definitely not good enough at that to excuse the hopelessness against the run. He's got a $10m cap hit next year, have fun with that.

And don't you fucking dare try and look up some game where Mack didn't have a sack (but the Bears defense still gave up like sixteen points) and claim the same thing. A lot of teams will just avoid Mack to keep him ruining the game for them. So far it's been three straight weeks of teams assessing the Packers defense and deducing that Kenny Clark is a scrub and should be directly attacked over and over again.

Enjoy the Dallas game.

Yep. That defensive juggernaut is really impressive. Even better than the '85 Bears. And that "offense" is really something. Looks like a real dynasty in the making all right.

Wowie. That AARON Jones has to be headed for the HOF doesn't he? Spectacular player all right.

Blake Martinez definitely isn't good but he's also dying for Kenny Clark, Dean Lowry and Preston Smith's sins.

Please let Preston keep sinning if his season so far qualifies.

Again, Mack didn’t do a damn thing week 1. Elite DL have quiet games all the time. I shouldn’t need to explain this to you.

OK see you cannot really say Mack "didnt do a thing" when the Packers scored ten points. You can take Khalil Mack out of a game by just avoiding him or diverting inordinate amounts of resources into keeping him under control, but doing that makes running an NFL offense almost impossible. That's making a massive, yet indirect, impact on the game. Nobody isolates and attacks Khalil Mack. It never happens. The idea itself is preposterous.

Meanwhile teams have gleefully attacked Preston Smith and Kenny Clark in the run game, going out of their way to make sure those two guys are targeted weaknesses of the Packers.

Mack was attacked plenty in week 1. He had a few tackles and no other impact, same as KC against the Eagles. Bahktiari and Bulaga erased him from the game.

If you need a game where the defense overall got torched and Mack got erased from the game I refer you back to the Miami loss last year. I like bringing it up because the “it was humid” “he was out of shape” “he was hurt” excuses are a goldmine of comedy.

They attacked him super effectively for 30 yards on fifteen carries en route to ten points.

Fucking listen to yourself.

You know he hurt his ankle in that game and missed the next two weeks right?

I do. I’m holding him to the same standard I did Rodgers last year. If you’re healthy enough to play you’re healthy enough to criticize for playing poorly.

It is definitely part of his responsibilities and he excels at it. Its not why he got $150m but it's not he's weak against the run at all.

The Packers scored ten points. Thats less than the Redskins and Broncos have scored against the Bears. Whatever it took to minimize Mack's impact obviously wasn't worth it.
