Pretty scary for him. Scary for the team outlook as well because he's vital against better passing teams. I was surprised the defense looked as good as it did without Smith and Hicks. They are probably the 2nd and 3rd best players on the defense.

Hicks was jumping around on the sidelines. I am surprised he did not give it a go. The Smith situation is just weird.

Absolutely. As a fan, it's difficult at times to separate the man from the player, but I hope he gets well. The depth on this defense is unbelievable. Kwiatkowski probably added a 0 to his next contract yesterday.

I was thinking about that yesterday. Who do you pay and who do you let go? I would love to keep Robertson-Harris and Leonard Floyd, but I am guessing they are pricing themselves out of what the Bears can offer with all the money already locked in to Fuller, Mack, Hicks, and what you are going to have to pay Eddie Jackson.

Kwiatkowski is a luxury to have as a backup, but he struggled in coverage during the playoffs. He's very good for a backup though.

It really sucks they cannot afford the fifth year option on Leonard Floyd because he has really turned into one hell of a player. The good news is we'll probably get a top fifty draft pick for him so you're looking at what should be a robust 2020 draft class.

I strongly doubt if he's in some sort of crisis they are going to ship him all the way to London. Then they have a bye. Whatever it is just shut him down these two weeks.

I very much doubt its a DUI. A DUI is not some beyond-the-pale crime, and if he raped someone we'd definitely know by the now. These media hacks wouldn't be able to sit still on that story this long.
