I always thought this was a strange case. Former Bear Shaun Gayle is banging 17 different women. One gets pregnant at 42. One of the 17 is convicted of the murder. She gets convicted mostly on a strange hypothetical confession to a wire wearing friend.

Years after she is asking for a new trial. Based on: DNA of a male on the shell casings. Eyewitness accounts of a male fleeing the scene. A confession that the supposed murder weapon was stolen.

I don't think there's any doubt this broad did it. I did some business with her. I was actually in her house. I helped put together a deal with Gayle and a partner of mine for some property on California and Flournoy back when it looked like gentrification would get that far west.

She was so in love with Gayle. All she did was talk about "Shaun, Shaun, Shaun." I thought she was his girlfriend. When I heard the story that Gayle's girlfriend had been murdered I assumed it was her. When I saw it was a different woman, I immediately thought Marni was involved.

There is also a story I heard about her grandfather's gun and how it went missing.

I highly doubt anything will come of this. GUILTY!

I don't remember exactly. It was a long time ago. My partner and I were building spec homes and Marni was a realtor that we used to find us properties in the City. I think this partner is the one who found her/knew her, but I'm not sure. If I remember correctly I heard about the missing gun from this partner who found out from his mother who was friends with Marni's aunt maybe. Like I said, I don't recall exactly. And I don't know if that's the gun they think was used in the murder or not. But my partner and I had a conversation about it before Marni was ever charged or mentioned in the news as a suspect. That I remember for sure. I was not surprised in the slightest when she was arrested.
