Some would say that the comment above by good dolphin is biased. But those people are wrong idiots and they are stupid also.

The funny thing is that when I read Dante, it was all familiar to me. The imagery and rationales for punishment were still being taught by the nuns when I was in school. I think that tradition (for better or worse) is dying out now. My own kids who went to Catholic elementary school got none of that.

It's still the theology but ecumenism seems to be the teaching of the moment.
