It fueled the hold em craze. The dumb one liners are still heard at poker tables. It gave ESPN tons of programming.

I love it.

No, it was pretty bad, but people are willing to forgive it because they like Norton, Damon and Malkovich.

Famke Janssen was really sexy in that role.

It's a great movie to watch when you're flipping through the channels on a rainy Saturday afternoon and see it's on.

It's fine .... far, far more worse flicks than better ones out there.

I was in college when it came out. I remember my roommate and I saw it, and then immediately went back to the apartment and started playing poker. At the time, I thought it was one of the coolest things I had ever seen. Also, Ed Norton was on quite a run around that time: Primal Fear, Rounders, Fight Club. However, it has not aged well. What law professor is going to cut a $10,000 check to one of his students? It just doesn't happen.

I think it was that Norton run (American History X was around the same time, but I think Fight Club was after) that made people like it more than they would watching it now.

Good call on American History X. I completely forgot about that movie, although now I'm remembering the curb scene. :x

It’s obviously a good movie, but listening to Parkins on the radio the other day was really making me sick. Matt Damon on the Mount Rushmore of actors? An opinion like that only serves to reinforce my hatred of millennials. And he said that Damon has more good movies than anyone else, but he failed to mention School Ties? How the fuck does something like that happen? I thought that was everyone’s introduction to the little prick.

I could list 4 actors born in the year 1930 that wax Matt Damon into oblivion: Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Sean Connery, and Richard Harris.

Hell, I could probably do that every year for the Silent Generation and Baby Boomers. Parkins is a serious dip shit and he really needs to answer for his atrocious opinions.

This is a really confusing question. I'm not sure how I feel about this movie or Matt Damon. A lot of people are trying to figure it out. My brother-in-law actually watches a lot of movies. I emailed him today to see how he feels about Rounders.

For reasons like noted above, it's a really silly story if you think about it critically. But it was entertaining in spurts nevertheless.

Misogynistic. No well written female characters. Too many white males.

If you look past what America was at the time it is a decent movie but it could use a remake with a female as the lead.

It was decent. Like was said earlier, you never want to watch it a lot like you do the great movies.
