I just took a ripping good stroll thru usernames ordered by the most recent one first, and it took nearly nine pages of mopes and dopes before I got to someone of any real consequence and interest - tommy - and it was an account to replace his previous account iirc. Excepting for Len, and hell, with the illustrious choices available I'll even allow America/Antarctica, it's really a roster of rolled shit à la mode essentially.

Prior to that, we have to go further back to late summer 2016, where we had Drunk Squirrel, Toxic Masculinity, and Ogie come aboard. Before that, '77 Cubs. January brought JLN. December 2015, formerlyknownas (is that tommy again?!?). November 2015 - WaitingforRuffcorn.

Message boards have been swallowed whole by Twitter. Which on one hand is fine because all these retarded normies not emotionally equipped for the internet go there, but also young people dont even know places like this even exist anymore.

Twitter and message boards are not the same thing and they don't allow you to express the same kind of thoughts nor develop the same kind of relationships.

Twitter and other social media outlets allow you to filter out the thoughts of people who have different opinions than you do. A lot of people are most comfortable with not having their beliefs challenged. That's generally difficult in a place like this.

I have enjoyed posts by newer posters like Clawmaster and storkinastorm.

This place is also very sports centric, and to narrow it down even further, sports media/radio centric.

Most of the shows on WCUB 670 suck. Very few of us are regular Waddle & Silvy listeners. My listening habits have changed drastically over the last year as I had 90-120 minutes in commutes every day, which has dropped to about 30 round trip. There is only so many disingenious Lil Danny tweets we can break down in a week. The SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY SIX pages of Julie DiCaro can entertaining, but short of her coming at the board again, its not going to get a ton of chatter going.

The Bears will move the meters. The Cubs section was a ghost town once the Cards kicked their ass. The Sox Games thread stays fairly active, but there are like 5 Sox fans here. There is Bulls and Hawks sections, but those aren't big movers either.

So yeah. When MJH & B&B where in their prime, this board was rocking.
