It means no worries.

For the rest of your days.

It's our problem free philosophy.

After every statement? About to use the restroom. No worries.

You walk into Walgreens. They greet you with a "no worries".

Maybe it's a generational thing, but I hate being greeted coming into a store. Stfu and focus on making the checkout lines move.

Well I gave you the lyrics to Hakuna Matata, but I don't think it's used in greeting.

Yea, that's just odd.

And I agree with Peeps and RR. Not a fan of the "Welcome to" as soon as I step into a businees.

Nice one, Doc.

Agreed, I hate any obviously forced conversation. Jewel was doing this for a while at checkout by requiring socially awkward 17 year olds to ask about your weekend plans and such. Another is having the hotel desk clerk call your room to ask if everything is ok (the unexpected phone ringing scares the hell out of me) or the current trend of having them text you the question. Clearly some clueless marketing guru pitches these ideas without any understanding of their customer base. As Peeps said, just leave me alone.

I'm laughing because a forum like this is obviously going to be heavily populated by introverts, so this is likely to be a very popular sentiment. And I feel exactly the same way myself. Sometimes if another person is waiting for the elevator I take the stairs just to avoid a potential conversation. I live on the ninth floor.

In my experience a simple yet not totally asshole-ish way to avoid this is just to give a polite head nod when they greet you. You've acknowledged them, but have made it clear the "conversation" goes no further.

In general I am fine with it but there is a checker at the grocery store that loves to discuss how good the items I am buying are.

Is this pasta sauce good?
I normally buy Pringles.
That's a big block of cheese.
Oh I need to get some of this ham.

"No worries" used to just be a Hawaiian thing, although oddly Tom Shaer never used it.

Yes! This feels so phony and is becoming more pervasive. Everybody at Panda Express shouts "Welcome!" when you walk in.

Why would anyone eat at Panda Express unless they were at the airport?

This is an idiotic marketing concept called customer engagement.
I'm told the idea is to keep someone in the store a moment longer.
Also with the checkout kids commenting on your purchases (is this pasta sauce any good?) I'd say they really shouldnt be commenting on purchases. It wont be long til some dumbass 6 year old says "vagaisil? Boy that must itch!"

Remember nothing about it save for the Peabo Bryson song. That was my cut. My bad I'm thinking Aladdin. Getting old

Who recommends self-harm more, Frank or Douchbag? Reading them is actually pretty liberating.

In terms of straight up (wow, that term has certainly evolved) insults, Frank has more, though they are usually reserved for those on his enemies list.

Because Tom Pretty sucks.

Have gd teach you the quote function. Its a pretty vital tool here. Good luck.
