Long day. Thankfully I had the foresight to have grabbed a grip of Evan Williams and Vernor's ginger soda awhile back since I didn't feel like going out to replenish, or get dinner.

How much is a "grip"? Is that the same as a "handle"(1.75l) or is it a half pint that fits in your palm or something else entirely?

I'd never heard of "handle" until hearing it here a few years ago. A 1.75l was always a "grip" or a half gallon around here. Different dialects for liquor bottles in the area

It’s a handle to us old white folk and I guess a grip with the quasi old black folk.

Mine was a Sanford and Son reference.

So, who was the judge there? The Devil?

I mean the guy (or gal) had a whole rhythm section. It was pretty tight.

Johnny had a chorus. It was close.

And, even after all that, The Devil called it for Johnny and then Johnny called him a "son of a bltch" after declaring him the winner and, presumably, giving him a fiddle of gold.

Johnny should be a True Believer after that.

The Devil was no Hillary Clinton. I’m sure Johnny voted for Trump.

Wouldn't Johnny know if his Grandmother's dog was a biter?

Is that really your "go-to" when you're betting your soul against The Devil?

Dogs are finicky creatures.

I’d be more than happy to put up my soul. It’s nothing more than petty cash.
