Agreed with most others here. I liked it but it wasn’t great.

I could’ve done with less flashback scenes and the fact that Todd is significantly fatter and older than the last time we saw him was a bit distracting.

Yeah I agree.

I liked it, but not as much as I was hoping I would.

The fat Todd deal really annoyed me, and I also found it pretty distracting. And I honestly find it a little odd considering what a detail person Gilligan appears to be. I am surprised he made him such a central part of the movie with how much different he looked from the show.

I really didn't like it

I mean it had a couple of cool moments but it felt like something that would be uploaded online like Breaking Bad Plus!!

I guess my expectations were out of line but like people have said it was like another episode of Breaking Bad but stretched out so not even a better ome

I’d give it a 7/10. I enjoyed the viewing experience in the moment for what it was—Gilligan’s gift to the fans.

It’s hard to imagine coming back to it though for repeated viewings.

This movie did not have to be made. It was semi-enjoyable, but served no real purpose in the Breaking Bad universe. My only theory is that Netflix dangled so much cash in front of Vince Gilligan that he could not say no to doing this.

The wife and I liked it, but it wasn't great by any measure. I agree with RFDC. Fat Todd was very distracting.

This movie was well acted and well directed at the individual scene level, but it was completely and utterly pointless. I learned nothing new about the BB universe, Jesse, or anything else. There was a plot--and things happened--but none of it had a unifying theme--or even any gravitas. It was just a bunch of scenes that were almost randomly strung together and falsely presented as a cohesive story.

Decent.. much better than that pos Deadwood. I saw it once and I don't need to see it again.

Seems like a lot of people are afraid to say it sucked. Then again some people defend The Fly episode.

I'm not sure what you were expecting. It was just a coda for the series. I enjoyed a 2 hour epilogue.

I agree with your sentiment. Audience expectation is the key here

But you did check two of the main Bingo boxes with your use of CODA and EPILOGUE

That’s the main takeaway....one viewing was more than sufficient

So a below average continuation of one of the two main characters doesn't matter?

Not really no.

Looking forward to the director's cut, apparently Pinkman vapes instead of smoking Wilmingtons.

This is right on.

Why is everyone fixating on what's in the glowing gold box?

Just enjoy the artistry and the rejuvenated spinning of a familiar yarn by a master.

I loved it! Thought it was a great wrap up of Jesse's character. Last we saw him he was driving off into the distance, but we had no idea what was next for him and only assumed the worst. I liked that we can now put a bow on Jesse's story and it's a happy ending. He gets away. And more importantly, he regains some of the dignity and self confidence he lost while in captivity. I liked how he went from the quivering weak person who gave the gun back to Todd to the guy who walked into a room with 6 people ready for a showdown.

Disagree. That scene threw me off for a few seconds(pocket gun). That in itself made it a great scene

That's not true. When they trotted him out last ep to show WW that he was a hostage, not a partner, he looked and acted like someone suffering from a lot of abuse.

My exact thoughts watching it. Better than Deadwood but nothing much to go back to.

Thought it was OK, but nothing I need to see again. Actually enjoyed the couple minute recap at the beginning the most. Made me wish I had time to binge watch the series again...

The first scene in the cage you could tell they were purposely trying to frame him from looking so fat. Then it was just like ah fuck it the camera can only do so much.
