There's no spin here. LeBron's work has always been on issues that impact the lives of the underprivileged in black America. He's concerned about the police killing unarmed black men and not being held accountable until recently. China isn't his fight, black America is. This whole thing was self-inflicted. The suggestion that people are asking the NBA to fix China is a canard. People are simply asking them not to censor their employees from critiquing an authoritarian ethno state, and for those NBA employees who claim to be so concerned about injustice to not tacitly endorse a government who murders its own citizens.
