Based on previous inductions, I'm surprised a few on this list aren't in yet.

They really should be the first Prog band in the door, before ELP and King Krimson, anyway.

My dad was not a fan of Tull. "Jethro Tull? That's the freak who simulates masturbation with his flute!"

I dig some Jethro Tull but King Crimson is the far more accomplished band. I especially like the Discipline/Beat/Three of a Perfect Pair trilogy with Adrian Belew and Tony Levin. Chapman stick!!

Rundgren to me belongs in as a producer...not a performer. Whitney Houston and Biggie will probably get in...although, maybe things are a little different since Jann Wenner isn't the chairman anymore. DMB should be launched into the sun.

What a fucking embarrassment to nominate that shitty college bar band. The only one drunker than all the frat bags at the concerts was dave himself. If you could make a date rape mixtape it would be all DMB songs.

No shit. And I can't believe that shithead has had his own Sirius channel for the last five months.

Sorry guys. You and I may not like Dave, but they fit the criteria.

The public vote-generated final list had Blink 182 on it.

Dave Matthews Band was one of the first "serious" bands I remember liking. Consider the top 40 landscape at the time and it's more defensible. What's not defensible is the lyric "hike up your skirt a little more and show your world to me," which is firmly entrenched in the top of the Worst Lyrics Ever list.

Not surprised. The Blink is still popular with kids today. I always get a couple of requests to play their songs (when asking students to list songs with which they connect). I suppose they are trying, but I can't stand their music.

They should have gone with “hole world”.

"What's My Age Again?" is a classic.

Dave Matthews was that guy in freshman year English glass that understood the significance of Piggy's broken glasses in Lord of the Flies on a much deeper and tedious level than the rest of the class, but never evolved beyond that.

So THAT'S what Jasmine was singing about in Aladdin!

No shit. And I can't believe that shithead has had his own Sirius channel for the last five months.

Speaking of shit, wasn't it the DMB bus driver who intentionally dropped a payload on an architectural boat cruise?

Why not, it's his mileau.

Yes. Still a legendary story in the small but tight-knit Chicago maritime industry.

 I actually like that lyric. It's a cousin to "I had a taste of the real world when I went down on you, girl."
