So, if you haven't spoken about something previously this disqualifies you from speaking about it when the situation becomes worse?

Sure he does, and he doesn't have generational wealth to fall back on like LeBron.

Its extremely hypocritical on their part by the way.

All of this "presuming to know what i meant to say" garbage is simply that. Garbage. Walk it and then you have credibility. Remain silent only til its NBA bashing season and you don't.
That makes you a hypocrite too unless you've talked about every human rights violation in existence on here.

No it doesn't and you don't get to make your valuations up as you go along Brick. Sorry to inform you of that. Let's simply match my history of speaking out against human rights violations up against yours and see what we get. How about that?

I will address the other later but lets simply see who the hypocrite happens to be on this one

You don't get it. I don't need a human rights scorecard because it doesn't mean anything. There are topics we all ignore on here. I have significantly more posts than you on workers rights in America. That doesn't mean you don't care about workers rights in America.

The difference is that you actually comment in those threads. You just parse through the topics pertaining to Human rights. As you're doing now and as Morey did 11 years ago. Yao Ming wasn't just "any old" human rights story as Morey had a professional stake in it. The same stake that you seem to think he has now. He chose to remain silent but because he isn't as wealthy as Lebron you are making excuses for him.

I don't post in every thread. Maybe you should try it.

I already have. In fact i ignore over 95% of the threads on here. Just like you ignore Human rights violators/violations. That is til they involve Lebron James and his hypocrisy i guess.

He'd very likely get Ming's family imprisoned if he did.

Possible or China was likely to recall Yao.

I think that was their leverage the whole time.. Ming better STFU and not bad mouth us or we'll recall him for the military..if he doesn't come home when ordered we have his family.

The real villain is clearly Daryl Morey. Why didn't he speak out 10 years ago? Why didn't he wait until it was convenient for LeBron?

LeBron is the real hero here. Now he's just going to shut up and dribble.

Quote:
"I plan on being here and being a captain of this team and trying to figure out how we can win a championship," James said when asked whether he plans to learn more about the anti-government protests in Hong Kong. "That's my main goal right now. I feel like I talked about it yesterday. I tweeted out responses to people not understanding my knowledge and where it came from with my brain and learning from the situation. I'm talking about it now. I won't talk about it again.

NBA star LeBron James reportedly pressured the NBA to punish the Rockets’ General Manager Daryl Morey after he tweeted support for Hong Kong.

James argued that if something an NBA player tweeted had cost the league money they would have been punished, and questioned why the same wasn’t happening to Morey, according to Dave McMenamin on ESPN.

“Nearly a week ago today, in a Shanghai hotel room, or Shanghai hotel ballroom, Adam Silver got up and addressed the players, and LeBron James is one of the players who got up and spoke and said, ‘Hey, what are we doing here? Daryl Morey made these statements,'” McMenamin recalled on air Tuesday. “You know damn well if a player made the same statements and caused such poor ramifications for the league, there would be some sort of league recourse.”

“There would be repercussions the player has to pay. You know, potentially this tweet could cost the NBA hundreds of millions of dollars. That could come out of the players’ pockets, and so that’s the double standard that was being addressed in that meeting,” he continued.

The comments by James were made during a players meeting on Oct. 9 before the Lakers vs. Nets game in Shanghai, according to a report published by The Athletic.

He may be correct but i don't recall that ever happening. Players have been fined but i don't really recall it being for the sort of thing he is describing.

LeBron standing up for the American worker. He's empowered the workers in every sports league. That's going to be his greatest legacy.

It keeps getting worse and more embarrassing for LeBron and the league. What a vindictive asshole. Punish him for that social justice tweet!

Providing an actual explanation as to how it might be "getting worse" might lead to an aneurysm for you so it may be best to simply take your statement in the actual spirit that it was given.

It keeps getting worse and more embarrassing for LeBron and the league. What a vindictive asshole. Punish him for that social justice tweet!

More ugly details are leaking out. It's clear to everyone except you.

This was out a day or two ago. The person that caused money to be taken out of the NBA'S pocket was Morey. I say this as a person that agrees with the comments from a political standpoint.

From a business standpoint they made no sense and were counterproductive. The NBA crossed that (China's bridge) a long time ago and so did this country. Once they soldout for cheap labor and oppressive work conditions there was no turning back.

Daryl Morey's owner was among the first to denounce him for the comment yet the only guys taking heat are the ones that have publicly criticized Trump. That is the real tell tale as to whether this stuff is politically motivated or not.

The NBA's behavior has been so poor, AOC and Ted Cruz signed a joint letter blasting them.
