He's on the fence. He wants to be a Never Trumper but his hate for liberals gets in the way.

Right, you had a psychotic break, and started getting really personal with Leash because POLITICS.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the breaking point was when he called out your random, often incorrect, sweeping generalizations.

To be truthful it wasn't CH that started it. Once it became evident that CH wasn't down with Trump Leash began taking shots at him regarding his intellect. After about the 5th or 10th time CH responded to it.

He began taking shots at CH around the time of the oft referenced conversion.

I think Leash just got sick of CH constantly making shit up, and decided to be the one who called him out on it.

Things like that happen a lot on here, but what doesn’t happen a lot is an exchange like this:

What does this even mean? (Don't worry - I know you have no idea).

"I know you have no idea," you're such a sneering piece of shit. In a better world than ours, it would have been you overdosing on fentanyl or meth instead of one of your friends before you could bring another asshole kid into the world, another future asshole like you, the current asshole.

There were a number of exchanges that precipitated that and most of them were personal shots that Leash would take regarding CH's intellect.

Most of the time it would occur by way of the 3rd party driveby variety. When CH finally responded to it what came out was the post you cited.

CH was wrong for referencing his kid. No excuse for that.

This is CH’s non apology:

Calling other posters' kids future assholes is not something I have made or plan to make a habit of. I don't like the way leash has been needling me for some time now, implying or outright saying that I am not intelligent enough to debate with him and am not even capable of understanding what I read. That gets pretty irritating, especially when the other person is not exactly blowing you away with intellectual rigor by spreading memes from 4chan. Yes, I bring a lot of Current Affairs/Baffler columns to threads, but I think I'm juuust smart enough to grasp them. He's been at this for a while now and his most recent allegation that I'm incapable of thinking for myself (I think it was about how Springfield as state capital doesn't make much sense nowadays when the population of the state is concentrated in and around Chicago) made me lose my temper. I guess something about "don't worry, I know you have no idea" just finally hit me at the right place and right time to set me off. People are like that sometimes.

It's hard to apologize because there's not really anything left to mend. If this isn't some long-game trolljob and he really is as committed to being a reactionary as his body of work would indicate, then it's only going to stay this bitter between us whether I apologize or not, because that means we're necessarily enemies. I hate Trump supporters. Everyone should know better by now. At this juncture, continuing to belong to this movement is inexcusable and I really believe that. So I look forward to continued days of tension and bitterness with the community's ascendant far-right faction until it eventually gets so unpleasant that I stop engaging with them altogether.

Sometimes I wonder if you guys are capable of reading the stuff you post. These are two quotes from the latest rant. He's accusing me of being reactionary and closed-minded and then says he hates an entire group of of people. This is where the accusations of arrogance come from.

In this case the pro-Trump crowd came to the defense of the guy who took 10 or 20 shots to start it as is the standard line around here. I notice how no one seemed to care about that at the time. The hypocrisy continues.

Funny that the same guys who are constantly whining about SJWs are suddenly upset about someone hating Trump supporters. If that is how he happens to feel there is nothing for him to apologize for. He said nothing wrong and he is right about the far right element here that is growing by the day.

Leash simply pointed out an obvious contradiction.

Leash was once a solidly "liberal" guy here.

After 18 months of waiting for simple answers on why Trump was being investigated, he had the temerity to speak up here. Asked for something more from the media than simple talking points.

Overnight he went from being liberal, and a good guy, to some sort of virulent racist. Eerily similar to what has been done to JORR as well. And now, it's a growing right wing conspiracy on the board.

Leash was/is still liked by many of the same people who liked him before the 2016 election. Leash got criticism for the tone of his posts and what some saw as the hypocrisy/inconsistency of his new views.

The continuation of the JORR strawman is not only pathetic but it's lazy as hell.

MOST posters are able to disagree and be civil with one another.

You and I for instance are a good example of this, on, as well as off the board.

No doubt Leash became far more adversarial towards a certain group of posters after his political views changed.

I agreed and disagreed with him on a wide variety of topics, but I think I got along with him because he was/is a great shit starter and mult creator.

Hell, he’s prolly Whistler.

JORR straw man:
Any criticism or disagreement is someone calling you a racist or a bigot.

It's used to dismiss views of others and quite frankly it's race baiting. Crest has used it as a crutch for the past couple of weeks.
