It's easy to say that McDonough has had nothing to do with hockey-ops (nothing positive, at least) and therefore deserves no credit, but you need to take your ginkgo supplements if you don't remember the extent to which McDonough's rolodex and all-around hustling elevated the profile of the Blackhawks from 2007-2009. As I've said before, major-market hockey team + championships - marketing = Devils. You don't want to be the Devils.
